I am a true Pontiac Trans Am nut but if you park it next to the General Lee I would have to walk up to the General first. As a 80s and 90s kid there was just something so special about the Dukes of Hazzard.

I like how he hasn't got the 01 too far forwards, a lot of people have them right up next to the inlays at the front of the doors. But he does have the flag around the wrong way, the point on the stars are meant to face the drivers side, not the passenger side. I don't think its commonly known, it doesn't seem to be because I've only ever heard it said by one person and it was the guy who was in charge of making them on the original series. I think if someone has a General with them the right way that its probably only by chance that it is.

@NomadMedia1 11 месяцев назад
I'm not sure this criticism is needed. This is a documented car built by the WB engineer/builder so I'm pretty sure it's right or never mattered to begin with...
@JoshPhoenix11
@JoshPhoenix11 11 месяцев назад
@@NomadMedia1 I really didn't mean to sound criticizing it wasn't my intension. Its just a small detail that doesn't seem easy to hear about, and I was coming from the position of if I had a General myself and I didn't know about it, it would be something I would want to know.. But i'm sorry if I came across as negative

I really like hearing a guys car story! We all have em. When You have General Lee,you have a 45yr old car that's a globally known icon! It's a really nice General Lee. A man's car is his car,just like a General Lee is a man's car how he wants his General Lee. Im in NO Way dogging on this man's General Lee at all. But he says it's a W.B. correct car,he also says like John Schneider.. a guy's General is his and can do with it what he wants,as I agree also! But this is not a correctly done G.L. as a W.B. correct car. When someone says it is something it clearly is not,I'm just a guy that will call out Wrong when is. I could explain what is visible,that is not correct,if anyone would like to know. But I'm not out to dog on it,or seem like I am by others. I completely share his passion and Love for the General Lee! It's a really nice General..

Hi! Please check out North Alabama Dukes Facebook page which explains more on this car by the owner. Not only was it built by the WB builder but Tom Sarmento has given it his approval. I hope you can enjoy the rest of the stories on the channel!

@@NomadMedia1Hey there.. well,I would check it out,but don't do face book,Instagram. Just email and RU-vid. I'll have someone share it with me tho. While I was watching video I heard it was built by an old General Lee builder...but didn't here Tom's Name mentioned. Tom Sarmento would know everything, should definitely know how they were built tho! I always go off of what actually was or wasn't used in film on TV Series. That means if you went thru that car with a video camera..everything would be correct and to the actual star car's blueprint!Tom's probably up there in age now,possibley don't remember it all,or Maybe he's giving approval of correctness based upon every General used..including jump cars. If so that would explain it, but if a guy takes into consideration stunt cars..all it has to be is orange,the 01,the flag,push bar,an rims..I can say if I was selling General Lee's that I built,No Matter who I was,I would be NOT be selling anyone, a General Lee that was Not Correct as a TV Series car,and claim it was. It is very probable that Tom S. Built a General exactly like it..and it was used in the series just like that. You can hide alot in from the camera. But if Tom said or ever put into writing that it is TV Series correct..shame on him! That makes me sad to think he would knowingly do that to anyone! Not cool at all!! Just subbed to ur channel..May do a binge watch tonight.

@@leecordell7418 please do an enjoy. I am ok with the paperwork provided for the car and have no reason to question it. The channels not here to nitpick. All that matters at the end of the day is he loves his car. If he was trying to sell or something it would be different, of course but this owner will never sell this car or if he does it will greatly surprise me and his children who have staked claims 😂

Nice buts it's far from accurate to the TV show or movies. Just another orange painted charger thrown together
@NomadMedia1
@NomadMedia1 11 месяцев назад
Well, its documented and built by the Warner Brothers builder/engineer who built the originals so I'm not sure how much more accurate it could be, short of being a literal movie car 🤷🏽‍♂️.
@thebandit7408
@thebandit7408 11 месяцев назад
@NomadMedia1 doubtful. Tv cars didn't have blk dashes with tan interior, missing VT trim as the TV cars had chrome VT trim, roll bar mia, tv cars had all emblems removed that one doesn't, tv cars didn't use that lettering however the 05 movie did because they used the cheap PG decal kit, tv cars didn't have front tags, also appears to have a black package tray which should be tan so how accurate is this car again? also the tv series cars ran 235 70s and that car looks it's running 60 series tires (smaller)..GL didn't have those horrible exhaust tips either

@@thebandit7408 hey, this channel is about stories and why cars are special, and sharing those people's experiences with new and old car people, not about being 100% faithful or original or anything like that. But it is a documented car, by the real deal WB builder, not a movie car though. Just try to enjoy the story and not bash someone else's car or style.
@thebandit7408

@NomadMedia1 your the one that said it was built by builders of the orig and it was accurate which I easily showed you it wasnt.
@NomadMedia1
@NomadMedia1 11 месяцев назад
@@thebandit7408 don't discourage the hobby we all love. This car is documented and built by the WB builder. You didnt prove anything but you're more than welcome to sit with me and show me yours that is better than this one. Out of 320-ish movie cars, roughly 3 per episode, if you can provide the pictures, episode time stamps and paperwork that every car was the exact same thats what I consider proving it. What you did was pick some info that fit your narrative, in my honest opinion, to bash a car for a reason I can't figure out.
