For me, HB's most influential book is his 1922 "The Jews."

I read James the Second by him. It was one of the most pleasant reads if not my favorite. It is pleasant despite the content, and the subject matter, which is for the most part grisly. (His explanations of economic injustices are so well written that they were the more gruesome part of the book in comparison to the macabre descriptions of James the Second's experiences in battles.) It was glued to my hands, and it is a valuable history to know about, its a puzzle piece that connects very well with the reign of Henry VIII on one side and with early American history on the other side.
