I am currently on a self imposed no yarn buying adventure. I have bunch of left over yarn from socks that is not enough to make another pair, but if you combine a few of them together I get to use up all my scraps and get fun scrappy sock from it. So I guess I am stashing down my well curated yarn collection.
I love this! It sounds like you're finding creative ways to use your leftovers :) I've never done scrappy socks, but I love how they look when others do them! Are you enjoying your stash down?
@@OrchardHouseEditing Yes, I am indeed. I am finding yarn for projects I forgot I wanted to make. Some of them I still do have the desire to make and that makes me happy. What are you enjoying the most about your yarn stash down?
I want to be like your mom when I grow up :)! Love all of your makes from socks to your adventure of sewing blankets! Great job using your stash. So far, I just have good intentions but sadly, they have not come to fruition. And now that my son has moved into his own apt, his room has become my yarn room - which does not give me motivation to use stash if it is not falling out of shelves. Looking forward to seeing the twins and big sisters' blankets.
Jeannie Luginbill i want to be like my mom when I grow up too ☺️ It’s hard to follow through on stash intentions! Thanks for saying hi- I’ll definitely show the blankets and socks once they’re worked up ☺️
Lovely episode, Ruth. I can't wait to see your sock patterns. Toe-up socks are my faves. And I love all of your blanket projects! I have to ask, though - what does the t-shirt that you're wearing say? Middle Earth's annual what? I kept trying to read it and never quite caught it. I was knitting, of course, so I may have missed a chance somewhere in there.
Little Woolly Things thank you! Toe up is my favorite too. The shirt says “Middle Earth Annual Fun Run, because one does not simply walk” 😂 it’s from Must Stash Yarn and is one of my favorites.
