I'm on my 4th time of viewing these vids. It's like a good book, I can't stop. I played WC3 for about 5 years. I was never really any good, but I did try. I was a 55/60% win person. All I can say is that is down to my slow hands and bad micro. I got 55/60% wins from my tactics, my strategy... from Grubby! Without Grubby through my WC3 career I was easily a 30/35% win player. You helped me a lot. Thank you.

.. It's not a new video, it's a re-upload. This video was previously on the SteelSeries channel which was compromised and many videos was deleted. Grubby's WC3's commentaries were deleted also.

When you use a scroll of tp to your main, both your hero and your main (tree of life) become invulnerable for the duration of tp

He means the naga gives you less strength per level than other heros get, not in absolute terms. Level 1 Naga can beat most level 1 heroes, level 5 naga can't beat most level 5 heroes. TC has a lot of hp at level one, but no useful skill. Shockwave does almost no damage at lvl 1 and getting an aura first isn't too powerful. Stomp at lvl one kicks ass but not really vs NE. As far as the ToA goes, it's +2 on his hero and -2 from the DH, adds up to 4.

Why didn't he get wind riders instead of bat riders? Their piercing damage is powerful against the Chimeras' light armor, and he doesn't have to sacrafice them.

aren't wind riders expensive and kinda slow? Chimera's will just run away.

Because then the night elf can just counter with hyppos, and wyverns are super expensive

My guess is that he made the bats because he knew all he had to do was kill the chimeras and the game would be over, since his opponent had no more gold, and bats are the fastest and surest bet to kill them. Making wind riders instead of bats, however, would have been a better long term investment because after the chimeras are dead, you still have them. Also, the chimeras cannot attack air so just a couple of wind riders is enough to effectively counter them. Even if the night elf had made a few hippographs, the raiders could just ensare them and then they are useless.

Grubby, sorry if this just sounds silly, but why didn't you go after his tree of life instead of his goldmine? Would it have taken so much longer so that he'd have time to tp back and save it?
