This series made me open Warcraft 3 for the first time in a while, and play a game against the computer. Really enjoyable, maybe I'll try playing on ladder to contribute to the Bronze variety hour
Searing Arrows buff simply wwon't change anything, it's a fundamentally flawed ability, all it does is add damage, on a champion who has very low base damage.. Level 10 PotM with searing arrows, will do 87 damage (adverage) per hit., compared to Naga Sea witch doing 71 damage, you're taking 3 ability points to have 16 higher damage than the seawitch.. who is applying a 70% slow on her hits. Ontop of that, +48 is still less damage than you'd be getting from simply giving her a venom orb. Searing Arrows dosen't need a damage buff, it needed a utility buff.. make it do burn damage over time (that stacks with venom orb) or give it a heal reduction effect like fire orb, or give it splash damage.. make it do SOMETHING more than just flat damage buff on a low base damage hero.
Imagine they introduce a new debuff like Slow Poison for Searing Arrow, to justify it for being an Orb effect. For example: *Seared:* A fire attack that deals 4/8/12 damage per second, and reduces the target enemies damage by 50% for 4/5/6 seconds (1/1.5/2 seconds Heroes).
I don't even play WC3 and I absolutely love these new series! I also liked a lot when you applied the strats to your own games. Would you make a smurf account and encounter those players? Anyway thx for the vids!
Let me break down the big bank and slow tech reasoning. I believe it’s because they think: “Teching too early puts me at a disadvantage resource wise, if I get attacked I won’t have money to pay for units. So I now I must accumulate resources so I have enough to tech and pay for units if I need”
Svs’ units really had a mind of their own, lich was quite stubborn about coming to fights without orb and the abominations and crypt fiend group showed up late but luckily found the main group by accident later on. Truly amazing.

Man I admired Happy through all the years, plus I’m Russian, but still I somehow find myself rooting for Lin here. And then I realise it’s because being Grubby’s fan taught me to root for mass wind riders lol

Honestly this makes me want to play base WC3 again. I mostly played custom games for the last 15 years, including custom RTSs so my techniques aren’t terrible, but always thought I’d get absolutely destroyed by everyone on ladder. These games make me think that actually I could learn and improve with people that aren’t all way better than me which is unexpected
