The swelling tide in France finally explodes in August 1572. Just as it seems like the marriage of the Protestant Henri of Navarre prepares to wed the Catholic Princess Margot and solve the religious crisis once and for all, the kingdom explodes into an orgy of violence.

1st time here. great video. I got here cos the utube algorithm added this vid to my suggestions when watching some true crime stuff. I thus assume the angle on history is from a 'sociology of deviance/criminology' pov. The title provides some insight on a possible interest in historical crimes/deviant behavior rather than simply history interest, if this is the case colour me interested. :). I also like the interest in politically motivated crimes - so much focus these days is given to street crimes but corruption and white colar crimes (and their motifs) impact (/damage) society much more, understanding what motivates people to hang on to positions of power is still understood very little and I am captivated by any attempt to investigate high society criminology. I dream of a justice system that gives the biggest convictions to the crimes that affect more people. Crimes committed by multinationals or law makers for profit destroy lives, society and our planet and are the worst. Understanding criminal motivation is central to this (the more profit the more motif i guess?). ty: this is the way.
