I'm not even an American and I worry about the US debt and federal deficit. Like it or not, the US Dollar and US economy is the hub around which the entire worlds financial system and economy turns. A collapse in the US will spell disaster for everybody else - and I know it has to come at some point. It's an economic impossibility for the US government to indefinitely keep spending so much more than it earns. At some point the debt must be paid back or inflated away, and neither of those two options is going to be pretty.

2:10 and that's why him NOT being an economist is NOT the problem. Him not knowing WTF he is talking about though. I think surgeon analogy is bad, because in surgery you can't just read and know stuff - you actually have to perform it, and there practice is mandatory.
