October beans! That what we used to call them growing up. I see them in the store now and they're called something else. I thought that's what the beans looked like when saw those buckets of them. What memories!

@@MrBearbait75 actually October beans are a type of pinto bean, they are bigger & cook up thicker than a pinto does, & getting harder to find each year...I wished I had continued growing them just for seed if anything else ..

@@Dj-ws9rj I didn't know they were a type of pinto. Learn something new all the time! Thank you.

It looks like bacon. Does it taste similar? Thanks for the video!😊🇨🇦
@GrannyWomen

It’s a little more “fatty” and thick than bacon. If prepped right, it’s delicious but not everyone is a fan. ❤️

do ya'll cook the heart of the deer? i skined mine and floured and fryed it but these new men I am cooking for don't eat the heart or anything else on the back strap and the meat is all they eat I call it waste if you just throw it away. thanks for the hog jaws love them.
@GrannyWomen

Used to but no one eats it anymore Very little goes to waste around here though Sometimes other people want it, but we don’t keep it and cook it anymore
