So I am the third owner of my little ship, SHIIMTI a Flicka 20 sailing ship...and....the two previous owners were men...and.....they use the head differently than women do....the boat lurches...and.....it's all over, as they say...however, I pulled out the head...cut the head hose off...thank you to me for buying cordless tools when it finally dawned on me they were the perfect ones for the cutting of the stinky hose, as I detached it from the bilge pump y-valve...again, just gross....
Aaaaand.... the worst part was taking the plywood lid off the "holding tank"...which, as you can see, is simply an indentation in the hull liner...unscrewing the 50 screws....and prying up the plywood from the silicone...and.....blech....emptying out the remnants of the tank...trust me, dried out "crap" is not fun to clean...and then cleaning silicone off of liner gelcoat really is...an experience shall we say.
However, it is good practice to not scratch gelcoat, as it did not really matter, since I am going to paint, but was kinda neat! I will fill the screw holes and touch up the chips and paint it all!
Ok, but, as I have said more than a few times...it was also very gross...and I have wondered what I did to have that nasty task fell to me...
