Episode 48: Goalie Czar: Adult Instructional League
Czar vs. Czar
This game took place on November 10th 2019. I often have the opportunity to fill in and play on Sundays for Gus who runs the Adult Instructional League at Canlan Ice Sports in Etobicoke, Ontario. This is a great group of men and women who are looking to improve their game. It is a variety of levels for those just starting and those more experienced looking work on their positioning, skills, skating and puck play.
This was an especially fun game because I got to go head-to-head versus my buddy Justin Turner who plays on team the Cerebral Czars. Justin is an exceptional player on our team playing out but he plays goalie from time to time as well having played a lot when he was younger. So I was looking forward to this fun challenge. What I did this game is I left the GoPro up so you could see Justin for the 2nd period and enable some of the Red Team to see themselves in the offensive zone.
Final score was 2-1 win for Red Team.
