The LS1 blades from Bauer are rubbish - feel like they used the cheapest material possible just because they had to put a blade on the skate. But the fact that you can ONLY get LS5G replacement blades here in Germany kinda says it all.
Picked one of those dryers up at a thrift store. Took it apart to clean and lubricate the arms. Very much like a hair dryer inside. It has a small heating element and a squirrel fan run by a shaded pole motor.
My son wears these and refuses to try another brand. But, he is between sizes and they are slipping. Wanting to try the velcro tabs to attach to the pads. What is the best way...put on the knee pad first then drop down into the leg pad and attach? Or, attach to the leg pad and then drop down into both at the same time? I hope that makes sense.
Hey, I’m just wondering if this is worth if this program is worth it? I play with people that are alright every week some are really good some are not but I never actually learned positioning, breakouts and practiced it ect is this worth it?
Just trying out goalie for the first couple of times and videos like this are a huge help in trying to weed out gear that's probably not for me or just going to be a hassle, thank you!
Thank you! I think it’s important to offer a real balanced review as some guys who do reviews are just way too positive on stuff because they didn’t buy it themselves.
Thanks for sharing! I tried them out last night and they felt great! Really light weight, and like you said slid really well first half of the game and then slowed down a bit. But still better than I had anticipated.
I got the new Rx3 plus or whatever its called and I HATE them, these look like they have much more padding to wrap around the knee. the new ones are very narrow. they feel amazing on the drop straight down, but any time I want to BF slide , it felt like my knee was falling out the guard. They stayed in place np so it wasnt the knee guard like too loose to moving , my knee was pushing out the padding because its not wide enough now. Guess I have to stick with my falling apart 1x pads. The new warrior's are the most flexible and comfortable tho, ill give them that, just needs like 1-2 inches more padding on the inside of knee area
Hey, Adam! If you'd email me through my contact page on my website, I'd love to send a free copy of my hockey screenplay / movie script I wrote to you.
I have these and like them a lot, but recently my knee has been taking a beating from the constant dropping down and getting up. My knee is all bruised and I’m not sure what to do about it.
I think these knee pads have a life span. I recently bought a new set as the foam in this set was starting to pancake. How long have you been using your set?
I’ve been back on the ice this year but mostly Shinny hockey. With COVID in Ontario it looks like hockey is being put on hold again for a couple weeks….
@@goalieczar-adamcooper6900 I received one dumbell already, very nice indeed, handle feels just like a normal dumbell even the knurling, no plastic all metal, the circumference of the weights is alot smaller than other adjustables I have seen, even the cradle is made out of cast iron no plastic to break. The tolerance are tight no rattling when swinging dumbells. I also ordered the snode dumbell stand which is nice and small and also made of heavy duty iron, no plastic. The only thing is the poundage increments are a little wierd, but weight is weight I guess. The other critic is they only go up to 50 lbs. But I'm thinking if I need more weight than that just get a 60lbs or 70lbs dumbells or go to the gym. Definitely try and review its a good one.
These were and still are the best fitness purchase I made during COVID. I also just bought a Pelaton and thank goodness I did as gyms are now closing again in Ontario for a couple more weeks this Jan 2022!
Here's the question. I am having constant problems with these knee guards sliding down off of my knee. HOw the heck do I keep them in place? I haven't seen a garter belt to hold the knee pads up. Thoughts? CG
Hi Chris, thanks for your question. The best way I found to keep these in place was to wear them under hockey socks (if not using the Velcro tab with your Brian’s pads) and use hockey tape below the knee and above the knee. I’ll be honest, I think the Warrior knee guards are better and more comfortable.
I mount it on the inside glass of the rink. It can be risky as I’ve had it knocked off but it allows me to move the camera during each period. I’d be worried someone would steal it if mounted on the outside glass. Plus the picture quality is better.
Hey Adam, good on you for getting some real coaching! Thanks for sharing this, it's helpful stuff for all of us. - Man, it would be funny to see a full 5 on 5 game on that tiny ice.
Well, as far as I know True North Hockey the league I play in is set to open the season in October. Looks like I may be wearing a mask covering but we’ll see. Have you started yet?
It could be that your boot strap is too tight not allowing for proper rotation. Or you may want to loosen your other strapping. Best to keep the top straps behind the knee loose and then down on the calf a little more snug.
Quick update, these masks with the valves, they are not good at protecting others from exposure to me as the vents open up each time I breath out. So I’ve stopped using them. Just sticking with cloth masks and the disposable ones I share in this video.
Not yet, I did a practice that I will post soon. As for games, won’t be starting till September. Hope to start posting again soon...thanks for your interest!
I have it set for 1080hd and 60 speed and wide angle. Sometimes I’ll do Super wide. Based on the battery, it typically has about an hour and 20 min of life. I also use a memory card that can record at least 6 hours of video. If you have any other questions let me know.
Thanks for that! I just bought my very fiest hockey pants (albeit, I'm a skater, not a goalie!) And they are just a liiiittle too wide in the hip area. After watching this I think I might give suspenders a try!
You do the best product explanation videos, Adam (Your Brian's knee guards video sold me on getting my custom pads from them). When my Brian's toe bungies wear out I'll snag a pair of these. Can't wait till we're all back on the ice!
