Episode 48: Present Tense - Radiohead Reaction 

Jacob, how cool is it that when you grow up and Radiohead is your favorite band, you'll have something to look back on to see the conversion process. Future tense!

I love this song so so much, it has made me cry before and was definitely in my my listened to songs of last year. The vocals and lyrics are just heartbreaking and it is just so sweet and really connects with, like many other Radiohead songs. Thanks for shouting me out this episode and going with this song, it is definitely a grower and Jakob will get it eventually. I was wondering how come you stopped reading out comments in the videos? Also a good way to get some more views could be sharing the channel to Reddit, there is a community of many Radiohead fans on there and this channel deserves more appreciation. It’s up to you though, there are also some very weird things on there. For the next one I would love to see what he thinks of Everything In It’s Right Place, it’s surprising to me that you’ve not done it yet. EIIRP was probably my first ever Radiohead song I really properly heard and connected too from my parents who are fans too. And probably like Jakob, me hearing them playing their songs at a young age subconsciously influenced me to attach to them and I listened to EIIRP lots and later became obsessed with Paranoid Android, then later realised they were by the same band! Everything In It’s Right place is an amazing piece of music and hopefully it will blow his mind! 😂 And it’s from my favourite album (Kid A). Thanks again, stay awesome 👍

I'd be interested to see Jacob's reaction to the outdoor version with Jonny, Thom and a CR78. I like that version even better than the album version--that version may be my favorite performance of a song ever, depending on my mood.

LOVE this podcast basically because I agree with the notion that Radiohead is the greatest band of all time.

The knowledge that the majority of this album is written about Thom's split with his lifelong partner and her subsequent death fills me with sadness and pity.... then I remember the first track is called Burn The Witch.

I have also considered this song for my funeral, so I take comfort knowing I’m not the only one. Maybe this could be a video for the channel, choosing Radiohead songs for a funeral.

Is it "this dance" or "distance"? Both kind of work. I heard "this dance" the first several listens, then read somewhere that it was "distance". Some time later, I found out that I was right at the beginning. "THIS DANCE" wins.
