Your videography has improved with Dani behind the camera! Give her props for making you look good! Haha! This episode makes me want to travel to Wyoming as it is not too far from where I live! Great job guys!
When I was at Yellowstone in 1992 (... ouch) I also had that feeling that I was in the most awesome scenery yet was struggling to get any great images. Connect to that feeling a lot! But I think your shots turned out well! Also very cool that you include some of Dani's pics as well !! Gear I used back then was Nikkormat with Vivitar 28-80 zoom + Nikkor 50/1.4 + Pentacon 300/4, the last one mainly for mooses Gear I would bring today would be OM-1 or Nikon FM with 28 + 50 + 135, maybe a 200/4 (the 300/4 now would be just too bulky for my modern self)
More and more I'm coming to realize longer lenses are key to landscape photography! On the wide angle lenses the landscapes that look great to the eye just look tiny on the final image. That OM-1 would be a great road trip camera. So small and top notch glass!
@@MacShootsFilm Yes ... I just took my OM-1 with 28 + 50 + 135 for a week-long trip. All in all less than 2.5 pounds of equipment! Totally fell in love with it again! About the long lenses, I remember someone who ONLY took something like a 200mm lens for a landscape photography trip, and nothing else. Sounds super intriguing ... but I guess you'd better bring a tripod or use an ISO400 film, maybe even 800 ...
Very cool images. It’s been a blast journeying with you guys! Quick question…do you use a handheld light meter as I typically don’t see you metering. Just curious re: your process.
