hey, where'd ya'll get the pedals from. doesn't look like the original sc300 pedals. I need to get around to doing my swap. and you said the speedo worked. was it off at all?
You don't have any codes? The Over drive light isn't flashing? The trac light and check engine light aren't on? The ECU is looking for multiple inputs from the auto that are no longer there. Tricking the ECU into thinking its in Neutral only allows you to start the car with the key as it won't start in any trans position other then park or neutral. If you trick it into thinking its in park, it runs different timing maps since it thinks it will never see load. I can see in the video your O/D off light flashing, and the dash lite up like a Christmas tree. A manual SC400 is very cool, but it is not without its drawbacks.
Yeah the O/D light is on. I thought he was just asking about CELs. Of course a custom job isn't going to be perfect, especially where we stand financially.
The best way to really remedy those issues is to convert over to an AEM ecu and have everything remapped. Tuning as we know takes time and money but in this case it was pretty impressive. They're are drawbacks to custom install but the fact that it works is a ln accomplishment in its own rights. I'll be doing a 6 speed getrag conversion on my 2004 IS300. It's already going to be expensive lol
What transmission are you using. Is it the automatic trans or a w58. Z32. Or cd009. Im looking to do a z32 trans swap on a sc300 next month and wondering if an adapter plate is required or no
Purgatory Vlogs lol wtf type of question is that, z32 is a Nissan transmission. Onto a Toyota vehicle, I am pretty sure you need an adapter along with custom flywheel driveshaft mount, collins adapter might have something but it’s not by no means plug and play.
+Trance EndDance I didn't have to do anything special for the speedo, the automatic plug goes right into the stock vehicle speed sensor on the w58, it's plug and play.
