In this episode, Sherri and Chelsi share their brand new fabric line, Emma. Sherri shares who Emma is and why designing this line was so sentimental to both of them. They then give a preview of each of the new quilts they will be debuting with this line. Paper patterns are available now for pre-order in Sherri and Chelsi's Etsy shops. Love your new collection, the one fabric that really caught my eye was the yellow with red flowers. And of course yellow is my favourite colour and you actually don’t see that much yellow in fabric collections. Great patterns by both of you, thanks for sharing your passion. 👍❤️😊

What a fun Monday morning surprise to see your new Emma fabrics! Love the story that inspired this line. The yellows are just what I have been looking for; a house pattern and kit! Chelsea's "Joyful" pattern!! The Laura Ingalls Wilder quote panel will be perfect for a gift to a daughter who grew up loving the LIW books, as does my granddaughter. Well, this is by far my Most Favorite quilt collection! I learned to sew while using my Grandma Knowles treadle sewing machine. She too made all her family clothing along with lots of quilts. Grandpa was a dairy farmer and the New England winters are cold. On top of that, the upstairs wasn’t heated. One of my favorite memories is of my brother and I racing (because of the cold) and jumping into our beds covered in mountains of quilts. The two of you certainly achieved your goal of blending the old and Ethel new with this collection. The minute I saw the fabrics, memories of Grandma Knowles flooded my mind and at the same time, I love the freshness of this line. Great job. My birthday is in May and I already know what my gift will be. 😘😘😘

Very excited and happy for the both of you. Congratulations on your new fabric line. I only have listened to the first few minutes but needed to stop to comment. I can’t take my off of the quilt hanging on the wall! Next month I’ll be starting Chelsi’s Community quilt. And I’m definitely going to make the one on the wall at some point. I love ❤️❤️❤️ it. I most often gift my quilts to family and friends. It’s something that brings me great joy. These two quilts I just mentioned will definitely be for our home. I can see and feel the joy radiating from the both of you. Always remember how much joy and happiness you give us quilters with your fabrics, patterns, and these podcasts. Sharing your gifts and talents is like throwing a pebble out into a pond as our boys loved to do when they were little. They always create ripples that grow in diameter and so fun to watch. The farthest ripple was created by the one stone. Now on to starting your podcast.

There is not a doubt in my mind that Emma is smiling down on you both. I have said this is my favorite with every new collection but this one is special. On the vintage and modern dichotomy, I always think of your style as “fresh traditional.”

Billy, it ‘feels’ vintage yet still has a modern freshness to this fabric line. It’s kind of like the game of tug of war. Each team stands with a line between them. The tugging isn’t static, there is movement both back and forth between the two teams. I think this word picture helps with your question as the answer isn’t static also. Great question.

Hi ladies & Billy! Oh my, I can't wait to see these fabrics and panel in person!! LOVE them all & the Country Home quilt using a panel is just great as I love house blocks. Question for Sherri-I've noticed in the last several videos your hair looks black (or just really dark) in the back. You obviously darkened it??

I love this collection so much! Thinking of using it for Moda Blockheads IV, but since it doesn't come out for a while, I am thinking of making a scary Sherri & Chelsi quilt. Could you help me - what previous collections would you say would coordinate to get me started. I am thinking Summer Sweet, but I wonder if there are any others! 🥰🥰. I so Love this line. I am trying to find it on Fat Quarter Shop not having any luck. This is by far your best Pd Cast. Bravo Zulu to you both and Billy. You MUST get rid of this ugly microphones or at least get some white ones. Your quilt is so beautiful behind you Bur you use black to hide it. Happy Quilting from VB 🥰🥰🥰. I made a quilt nearly identical to your Emma's Garden in scrappy B&C fabrics. Yours looks like it's on point though - mine is not. It's been sitting in a closet for the past year because I can't make up my mind on how to quilt it or have it quilted if I send it out to a LAQ. This is a beautiful collection and one I'm definitely going to get. I especially love the blues and yellows and low volume prints.

I love the new line. In buying the bundle, I always have the dilemma of what to do with the grays, that every designer seems to include. I NEVER like them and will not sew with them. It is just not my color. There are some online shops I have found via IG that sell smaller bundles with different color combos, and I have resorted to buying those instead. I would love to see that more widely available. Surely I’m not the only one who doesn’t love the grays.🤷‍♀️

I love this collection. It goes with my 30s stash and you are correct in that it goes with several modern fabric lines too. I like scrap quilts, yet ones with similar color themes, if that makes sense. And, I really like the grays and browns to go with.

I think this new fabric line may be my favorite that you have both designed!!! Yellow is my favorite color and I love the blues in this collection too. It’s so bright and cheery!! Very happy colors!!! After this aired I went looking for the panel RU-vid video and I could not find it. I also looked on several sites for the boxed kit you mentioned here and I guess it’s not posted just yet, but I will be watching for it. Will you be offering this kit on your Etsy site?

I love the new fabrics! Can’t wait to see them in person. Sherri, would you consider doing a tutorial on making the Irish chain quilt? I bought your pattern and it’s great. But a tutorial would be so helpful.
