Love this collection. Always found it ridiculous that the only released one Poison Ivy other than the deluxe and it looked terrible. No attempt was made for it to look anything like Uma. The Batgirls were awful also…no idea why. Other than that..these are great. Especially Frostbite and the Redbird Cycle! Spectacular video!
Awesome video! In case you weren't aware, there was a rare Japanese version of the Cold Knight in Gotham 2-pack with an all-translucent Mr. Freeze figure and a copy of the movie on VHS.
Sky Assault Batman is just Hover Attack Batman with a different color scheme. I had Hover Attack Batman because it was the only Batman figure in the line that was even somewhat screen-accurate due to the more traditional black suit (besides the Guardians Of Gotham City 2-pack, which are clearly modeled after their costumes in the movie's third act). I'd often swap that weird back board thing with a cloth cape from one of my other Batman figures or the molded plastic cape from the Brain vs. Brawn 2-pack. Anyone who had Batman figures growing up back then knew the struggle of just trying to get figures with screen-accurate looks, because Kenner would pump out countless Batman figures with brightly colored, nonsensical costumes and absurd accessories. They were often only available in the first wave, so you were screwed if you missed out on it.
I know this video is over a year old, so you prob got your answer, but if you’re still looking for an exact breakdown of each basic figure series, they were released in 6 assortments across 4 waves: Wave 1: 1. Hover Attack Batman 2. Heat Scan Batman 3. Battle Gear Bruce Wayne 4. Iceboard Robin 5. Razor Skate Robin 6. Batgirl 7. Ice Terror Mr. Freeze 8. Jungle Venom Poison Ivy 9. Bane Wave 2: 1. Snowtracker Batman 2. Blade Blast Robin 3. Mr. Freeze w/ Cryonic Blast Bazooka 4. Frostbite Wave 2.5 (Released after wave 2, but shipped with wave 2’s Mr. Freeze and Frostbite): 1. Wing Blast Batman 2. Neon Armor Batman 3. Ice Blade Batman 4. Triple Strike Robin Wave 3 (Shipped with wave 2, replacing wave 2.5 figures): 1. Ambush Assault Batman 2. Battle Board Batman 3. Thermal Shield Batman 4. Talon Strike Robin Wave 4 (Shipped with wave 3’s Battle Board Batman & Thermal Shield Batman): 1. Sky Assault Batman 2. Attack Wing Robin 3. Mr. Freeze w/ Ultimate Armor 4. Jet Wing Mr. Freeze Wave 4.5 (Shipped with wave 4, but these two refreshers replaced that waves repacks): 1. Laser Cape Batman 2. Rotorblade Batman
For some reason, when I was a child, I just completely enjoyed this run of figures...🤗 Like, the Bane figures were just soooooo frickin' cool...💯✔️ The Mr. Freeze figures are totally rad also...🤘🏼
Just wanted to stop in a year later and see if you made any progress on completing your set? I recently obtained the last packaging variant I needed and an unreleased purple mailaway Mr Freeze prototype (which cost me $240)...but I'm done! 5 years+ it took me. Such a beautiful toyline.
From this list, I owned the Ice Terror Mr. Freeze of the deluxe wave. I don't know what happened to it though. And let me just say that if the Batman films of the 90s were made better, I wouldn't have brought-in Bane and Mr. Freeze unto the big-screen since both characters were "new" back in the 90s. Not to mention that Warner Bros had no one to blame but themselves that they 'self-destructed' the Batman franchise.
The Guardians of Gotham City two pack alluded me. I'm finding them online without the capes, typical. My question is those two pack molds must be a reuse, right? Which other figure's capes would work with those two? Would you happen to know the answer dHunter? And great series man. Bloody impressive.
@@dHuntersReviews Say while we're on topic i own a undocumented (as far as im aware) variant of heatscan batman with a matte finish with what looks like a air brushed yellow/orange section where the red is on the normal version. i even have a short clip here if you want to look for yourself (its only like 5 seconds lol..) not sure who else to ask who can be able to identify this guy so if you can help id really appreciated it! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_sFeOnMe4hM.htmlsi=18wfdAk6Gxp9eP04 i completely understand if you're busy though since this really isnt that important. Not looking to sell it or anything its just been bugging me for years and every one i ask doesnt seem to know where it came from
I'm really enjoying your videos! I want to ask you and everyone who likes to having figures boxes unopened, is there any reason for that, besides monetary value? For example, I like to have unopened boxes because it reminds me when I used to go the toy store with my dad and see all the new figures with their cool boxes hanging on the wall. I have regrets every time I open a box! But at the same time I'm tempted to do it.
It's not disappointing missing a few. I didn't get them all but I like my mini collection of these and will open my MIPs unless I get a worthy box it up mail it away labor to sell any you may not have (I can't tell right now because I have to find the boxes these are in). I can get an accurate checklist from my Lee's Guide magazines I also bought 1997-2005 or 2006!
@@dHuntersReviews no as an adult when I had room for storage in home but rented home and was in another state. A few figures from various things are missing, tmnt Batman and others.
@@dHuntersReviews I was and still am a little mad/upset. What crazy person steals someone’s actions figures? They stole most of my 90’s Star Wars figures. That was the worst.
I am almost positive I Battle board Batman along with an orange and blue Batman that has wing blades and a big knife on his arm, but I have no idea what happened to them and completely forgot about it.
Very meh. Kenner's production in the late 90s was embarassingly cheap and uninspired. The Batman and Robin toyline shows all the signs of the company's decay.
I strongly disagree with you i still wish this movie never came out. I much rather of seen Tim Burton finish the batman trilogy in the 90s. Batman Forever and Batman & Robin are a complete joke. I rather of had more Tim Burton & Keaton Batman movies then have thoart cancer Bale batman trilogy
