It's time for Jem and the Holograms to begin shooting Starbright, the movie that was part of their Battle of the Bands winnings. Pizzazz has some nasty surprises in store for them: her father has bought the movie studio that produces Starbright, the Misfits are the new costars and Eric Raymond is running the studio! Jem and the Holograms are determined not to lose their movie to their arch rivals, but tempers quickly heat up as production gets underway. Meanwhile, Jerrica learns that one of her Starlight Girls, Ba Nee may be having trouble with her eyes

I agree with you completely. I am 43 and these cartoons were worth getting up at 7 or 8 am with a bowl of cereal watching this. Growing up in the 80'/90's were probably the best years of my life. I looked forward to every to the TGIF (Thank Goodness It's Friday) on the tv and Saturday Night Snick. For me that these lineups and cartoons on Friday and the weeknights line ups were definitely worth it. I didn't care if it was another rerun again I was happy enough that these shows were on the air and getting to watch them. The 80's and 90's were worth every bit of growing up with.

My grandma almost got the part of Jem in the 80's. They didn't go with her because her voice sounded way too old and she missed an audition. She auditioned at Starlight Records too. She was only late because my grandpa wanted his breakfast first.😆

Question: is it ever stated how old Jerrica and her friends are? I estimate Jerrica, Aja, and Shana to be about 23 and Kimber to be 18 or 19. It is never said, but it is possible that Jerrica and Kimber's father died right after Kimber finished high school.
