Hi I have the Elna Supermatic 62c I was always able to use the overlock/zigzag stitch but Now it's only giving straight stitches. I have tried adjusting stitch width /changing disc an selecting zigzag stitch etc. It just won't change to zigzag .Please assist. Thanks ...Usha from South Africa
I have the same issue, and a different repair shop says this is a broken cam gear drive. See You Tube In Stitches for videos on repair, i have not yet started this....There are ways to confirm this is your issue....Good Luck! I'm in Minne-SNOW-ta (minnesota, usa)
Hi Bao Quoc Doan! Old oil and grease make clutches stiff. If the clutch knob turns but the hand wheel spin freely the clutch needs to be cleaned and lubed. If the clutch knob doesn’t turn far enough to let the clutch slip the inner “3 lobe washer” can be adjusted by removing the clutch stop screw, removing the clutch knob and removing the 3 lobe washer and twisting it 1/2 turn and reinstalling. The clutch knob should turn about 1/8 to 1/3 of a turn. I hope this helps. Allen
