Indeed, the story you're mentioning happened shortly after the incident around the ka'aba, where Omar said that Islam entered his heart that night, but on the other hand, he was attached to defending the values of quraish at that time, which he genuinely saw as honorable and noble. And so these conflicting emotions that he went through were so disturbing that one day he made up his mind to go kill the prophet (SWS), so he took his sword and went on his way to dar al arqam. Then he was met by a muslim, noticing the sword and the grumpy face, he asks him where he's heading to, Omar informs him of his intention to kill the prophet to rid makkah of this man who "is corrupting our ways". Panicked, the man then, as a means of diversion, informs Omar that his sister Fatima bint Al Khattab, and her husband Saeed Ibn Zayd became muslim and that he should start with his own family. So Omar goes to his sister's house, and hears quran being recited inside the house by Khabbab Ibn Al-Arath. He knocks on the door, Khabbab hides (because he's from the week people of makkah with no defense and he would be in deep trouble if he gets caught by Omar), Omar's sister opens, and after some dispute things settled, Omar reads the first verses of surat Taha and says : "Is it from this that Quraish have been fleeing ?" and then he asks to be taken to the prophet sws to take shahaada. This is the version that you'll find in most Biography (seerah) books I believe (what I wrote here is paraphrased from the sealed nectar). However the story that is mentioned in the video is still relevant to the conversion of Omar (RA) as mentioned in my longer paragraph.

I think the only person who we can't picture as a personality in a movie is our prophet Muhammad PBUH Dr.Ali is someone with a lot of knowledge in our religion so he can't do something harmful to the image of the companion's of our beloved Muhammad PBUH
