Get tickets to SCHOOL OF ROCK: www.broadway.com/shows/school-... It's a fond farewell to a cast member and the vlog. But before he goes, Alex Brightman has some advice for you.
OMG i was totally crying when they sang the goodbye song i hope get to see the musical one day but happy i saw the vlogs cant wait to see any features they let alex do
After watching the last bit of advice, right before an audition, I walked in and wowed them. Today, I got a call from the director himself, saying I got the job. Thank you Alex
They always say in show business to never work with kids or animals. I highly disagree. THIS! This is the beauty of working with children. Don't you guys just love the farewell to Jared?!? :(
Currently in a production of SOR and YES. Working with kids when you show them the respect they deserve and they’re so genuinely excited and dedicated to their show is amazing. Nobody is as genuinely passionate and openly joyful as a kid doing what they love.
My friend Deigo was the replacement for Jared, however sometimes people have to leave, I have talked to him and he says it's hard to fill that position and the reputation that Jared had, so please support Deigo!
OMG 😭 Seeing the kids crying and knowing this will be the last SOR vlog is making my tear up! We will all miss these vlogs so much, and Jared congrats on an AMAZING run! I was so fortunate to have seen you preform in december and I will never forget it! #SOR4Life ❤️
This is my go-to video when I’m feeling down and just need a mental boost. When life becomes almost to much and I feel like I might have a breakdown, I just come here, skip to Alex’s “tips” or pep talk at the end, and I almost instantly feel better. Thank you so much Alex, you truly make my life better by just existing 😄
I'm sobbing!!!! The world of theatre is such a special place and these kids prove that! Whether it is Broadway or small community theatres, THIS is why the arts are so incredibly special!
I'm waiting for my birthday which is in October. But I'll be there! At some point in October....... I don't wanna wait. :( BUT I MUST. And I will cause I have no choice. BUT I WILL SEE THE SHOW
I cannot tell you guys how much I love these videos!! Hard Rock Life is my favorite series of Broadway.com vlogs. I mean, I'm still watching in April 2017... Should I be concerned?
the ending pep talk really got me crying this man is genuinely so kind and encouraging and idk it struck something in me and just ffs i thought i couldn’t love him anymore than i already do
im under 13 and i wrote a really good play for my classmates and my teachers. when they didnt want to do it, i deleted it. it was a really good play too! I
Aw, I loved this vlog so much. Especially the Hamilton bits throughout the series... Because I am trash. Also the theatre advice was awesome because I love theatre and I might want to do it someday for a profession and it makes me feel better hearing stories about it.
jared left that early??? he was only there for like 3 months including previews, i know he was tall but still...a good farewell to him! i knew him since his matilda days where he was so tiny and cute!
I'm late but advice I'd give is along the lines of being nice. I'm only a high schooler but Ik you should never make people hate you for the wrong reasons. Theatre kids are the nicest people ever, but there are plenty that just want to use you and stab you in the back. Hell just being in show choir is rough with how much shade is thrown behind everyone's backs. My point is, don't let people hate you because you have a bad personality. Make them hate you because of your oneness, your kindness, your ability. Their hateful attitude towards you means they are jealous of what you are and what they should be.
That was some amazing advice, I seriously felt like we were having a talk just me and Alex. I somewhat disagree with the whole thing about how you can't do theatre and something else, but idk I'll have to tweet him about it. He's awesome. I loved hard rock life
