In this podcast we explore what “productivity” is all about. We want to make this topic up front and personal. The term itself sounds like a distant academic exercise. It does not concern us personally; it it about something out there. Not true.
Productivity is far more imbedded in our lives than we think. It is about a win/win approach with immediate benefits for all concerned.
Politics and political sloganeering are not directly relevant to productivity. We will trace individual productivity efforts and improvements in the fast-food industry (the introduction of electronic tablets) and in the charitable volunteer activities of civic minded Americans. These are on the ground improvements. Seventy percent of the U.S. economy is consumer spending.
Productivity is all about a very American pragmatic and can-do attitude towards our society and people.
