Slight correction, Varg was in his late 30's when he put those LPs out. "Valen" is my personal fave track from those LPs (surprise surprise)

Filosofem, Hvis Lyset Tar Oss, and Belus are my favorites. Althought ill admit Ea'Lord of the Depths is groovy.

For me some of the stuff on Belus, songs like Morgenroete, sounds like the missing link between classic Burzum and Drudkh. That said, I like all 3 of those albums and Umskiptar is the one that has grown the most on me over the years.

Check out As We Go Marching by John T Flynn for excellent perspective on acceptable "fascism." Always liked Burzum, but not as much as Venom, Bathory, and Graveland. No denying the influence of Burzum either. Great call dissecting and contrasting post banged up Burzum.

There is no doubt that Varg is a cretin par excellence; that being said, it's also a fact that the first four Burzum albums are not only meisterwerks, they're also genre defining records. Then Varg gets sent to the pen and flips the script with Dauði Baldrs and one of my top three Burzum abums Hliðskjálf. Credit where credit is due, the daft codger made some good black metal maaan.

Yes, I agree. His music has evolved over the years [for some this change was good, others consider it bad (mainly black metal elitists)]. I am not the biggest fan of his ambient albums, but they're good to listen to before going to sleep. That being said - Varg is very very musically gifted. What I enjoyed most of his earlier albums was the intensity of the instrumentation, the aggression & despair in his vocals (specifically in "Key To The Gate" & "Hvis Lyset Tar Oss"). I am saddened to see him quit music, however nothing can be done.

Where do you even get a custom Burzum shirt like that? I've looked everywhere and thought about but i can't find any. I saw this one vid of these white Brazilians getting harassed by antifa and cops for having an NS Burzum shirt on Telegram lol.
