I was 26/27 in 2004, deep into my neo soul phase. Unless I missed it, you failed to mention these amazing albums: Van Hunt's Self Titled, Angie Stone's Stone Love, Amp Fiddler's Waltz of a Ghetto Fly, Rahsaan Patterson's After Hours, Raphael Saadiq's Ray Ray and the greatest album of 2004, Connected by The Foreign Exchange. And Case's "no response" to you mentioning the Lyfe album made it seem like he's personally not a fan of the man. I love that album though.
