I’ve never used one, but I have a position where they asked if I did. I said yes. I’ll tell them I’m a bit rusty and need some practice or a refresher 😂

By far the best video I've seen. I've never been in this kinda work before. I've always worked fast food and was offered a job at this warehouse doing this. I start in 2 weeks I'm nervous but this video gives me confidence. Thank you!
This is a helpful video. I appreciate the knowledge. With the video upgrade, the narrator should wear a microphone wire (to hear the instruction better and to reduce background warehouse noise). Thanks for posting.

Very good instructions for my new job 20$hr 14hrs a day going in with no experience with the electric pallet jack now I can go in with some knowledge thanks bro and I laughed when I saw that guy jump at 8:36 in the video and put his hands up lol must of been an inside joke to you from a buddy playing lol
Great video. I personally enjoy launching myself off and into a run towards my destination. Good fun. You should demonstrate that. Also, the area next to the handle makes for a decent seat if your legs are getting tired you can sit while you drive it. If you lean hard when you turn at high speed you can get the pallet jack to really tilt on the wheels, get nice tight turns, a bit treacherous though. Good stuff.

Shoulda watched this before my warehouse job I would’ve passed with flyin colors 😅 I made it but this is honestly better knowledge than what my trainer gave me… the rest was figuring it out
i also train people on EPJ's, have been for a few years and he did a good job with this video but i have 2 issues. first: he didn't cover proper throttle control (maybe he does with his students at a latter time and it just didn't make the video) he does seem to be using proper hand position when he's showing the turning but this always needs to be pointed out to trainees. proper hand grip is an ice cream cone grip @11:40 not a cave man grip @5:58 (just like motorcycles) if you cave man grip the throttle then the throttle position can change when you lean forward/backward or steer left/right with out you meaning to (or changing throttle position unintentionally) and is the most common way new drivers go into an out of control event, (usually when backing up) there is a good video on proper grip here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tPsjr7jxO0o.html even if it's for motorcycles we still use it for many of the same reasons. 2nd: going down to do an emergency stop is never a good idea @8:30 . this puts you, your hand/body, and control arm between you and what ever it is you are trying not to hit, or get hit by, it can also be a very sudden jerk witch can cause your other had to lose grip, launching you off the jack and if your already leaning forward.... if your looking to lose some fingers on the job then use the down method. you want to have the base of the jack, witch is like a bumper, hit stuff to stop the jack, do not use your body as the bumper!!. the down emergency brake is for when you are walking an EPJ.
Whether walking pallet jacks or not, you should always include the red reverse button on the control handle (the "belly button") in your training. It is a safety feature that needs to be operating properly.
Who drives these everyday at work for 8 hour shift?? I'm asking this question bc I currently do....does anyone have issues with legs, knees or thighs after continued usage??
