I love it....looks like a hell of allot of work for the average DIY'r. I was thinking about doing this for the remodel of my kitchen countertop but have decided to go with Wilsonart laminate and contact cement it down and router trim it....Much less work...
I’m in the middle of updating my kitchen. want to do a dirty pour on my kitchen countertop but i’m also going to tile over my existing backsplash tile. I need to know if I should do the counter top first or install my new backsplash first. Thoughts?
This is stunning I absolutely love the counter tops and the floor what great contrast and matching so nicely. Great job. I can not wait to be able to do this. Thank you for teaching us.
Great idea..to redesign cheap Formica counters..for a quick update without the cost of granite..(which I think isn't best)..I'd prefer Quartz if I used a stone..
Great Looking product. Question is ,in the Kitchen Kit #1 the WB Top coat is optional. Does that mean l can leave it as is ?? Or must l top coat it with your clear glaze ..... or the Gloss or Satin WB products ?? I would like to leave it as is with no clear. 🤔
If im using mdf for my countertops do I need to prime it? Can I get the stone look with the mica coloring or do I need to purchase a liquid dye? Plz help...
With the edges, did you just sand them down at a 45 degree angle? I've been wanting to do my countertops, but wasn't sure how address the edges to get a rounded look.
What do you mean by letting the isopropyl alcohol drip not spray? Why denatured alcohol for wiping? Won't polyethylene yellow? Why not leave it without the top coat?
Hey leggari team! How do you deal with dust buddies landing on the epoxy while it cures and naturally, causing surface imperfections? I didnt see you cover the countertop at any time while it cured?
Beautifully done. One question you switch color tapes when edging was there a difference in them. Second question what about bubbles? How do you get rid of them or do they not form?
No there is no difference in the tape other than the color. We have a high end epoxy that has an additive in it to make the bubbles rise to the surface and pop on their own. Thanks
Would it be possible to put an oak trim around the edge before the pour so it bonds fully with the resin? If so how much upstand would I need for a flush finish?
Been thinking about bying a kit but i have a safety question, When sanding i noticed you were not using a mask, so i guess your products are safe to use ? Because i was at a safety course for epoxy and here we were told to always use a mask, eventhough using a sander with wacum attached.
I wonder if Leggari team suggested having the floor marble veined or did customer order that? I love the countertops, and I love the floor...but not in the same room. The busy floor takes away from the beautiful creation of the countertops.
do you have a video for how you did this floor? I see other floor videos, but I would LOVE the link for this one. Also, if someone doesn't want to do their own floor, do you have anyone in Tucson AZ that could be hired to assist?
This is the only video we have at this time. You can email leggari@gmail.com and request the info for a contractor in your area and they will send you out their info
We have 3 different top coat options. Glaze coat is our super high gloss top coat that lays out glass smooth just like the metallic epoxy coat. Our WB Urethane comes in high gloss and leaves a minor texture and we also have a WB Urethane that’s a Matte/Satin finish.
@leggariproducts How many days did this take and How much did you charge? I'm making resin and wood tables But wouldn't mind getting in to this Just wondering if its worth doing with my business.
Isn't a resin floor in a business slippery--esp. w/snow outside? nice contrast w/counter;) Q: urethane top coat? Wouldn't it yellow? Would use epoxy top on a kitchen, right? thanks:)
Our urethane top coat is UV stable and the epoxy is just like walking on tile. Any floor will be slippery when wet. We do have a grit you can add to the urethane to give it more traction.
Can I ask what about bullnose table tops and countertops how do you do those can you do a video on also laminate countertops that has got grip holes or grip how do you make those smooth thanks
Our products are actually industrial coating made for military aircraft hangers, etc. So theoretically in a residential, or even commercial setting it will last forever. This is NOT a cheap epoxy paint that you will commonly find at box stores like Home Depot or sherwin Williams. It is a thick 100% solids epoxy coating. I want to do this over my floor tiles. However some of them are cracked. Can I still do this with a filler in the cracks and can you all help me over the phone with my project?
if you are worried about having to throw paint brushes away you can get reusable ones, use silicone basting brushes, the epoxy comes right off after it cures. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07HR8HG25/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
