I would love to try that. I absolutely would love to try it. I love the way you explain things and the reasons why you do what you do. I thank you so so much for sharing your knowledge.
Hello again! I'm so thrilled you looked into my earlier suggestion of using the vitrigraph! Isn't it fun!! The use of it here was PERFECT for this project! And I LOVE how the orchid turned out!!! If you make this again, I wonder if you could used floral foam precut to fit, to fill up the vase void (inside) and then topped the foam with vase-filler stones like pea gravel (or even a mix or stones & real orchid bark) to make it look more like a real potted plant? Not sure how the floral foam would react with epoxy (melt or not?). Anyway, I just thought you did an amazing job!
Kristy thank you ! Yes that is a good idea , I may even try to do it to this one I could fit the foam first then take it out and attach the stones or what ever to the top then put it back in and if i don't like it I could alway take it back out.
Hi! I love your work and appreciate the videos! I noticed that in one of your earlier videos, you poured the resin first and then placed the glass pieces in, whereas this video, you placed the pieces first and then poured the resin on top. Do you feel like one way is better than the other? Thanks!
In the beginning I would pour the resin first and then put the glass on top a lot of people do it that way with tumbled glass because then it stays with the frosted glass like real sea glass I decided I like shinny glass and the glass is shinny when you put resin over it. It is just a personal preference. The only time it is really best not to pour resin over glass os if it is a real light color like pink or light blue because those light colors become more translucent when u pour resin over it and it becomes difficult to see
Do you mean the gold marker that I am drawing on the stained glass so I know where to cut the pattern? There is a piece of pale yellow chalk laying on the side. Or do you mean the stain glass cutting tool?
No I really don't have any desire to sell anything. I am just having fun learning as I go. I think it would be too stressful to sell it because then I would be worried everything had to be perfect.
