The most likely reason this dude never posted a final results video is because he fucked up the prep. FPoE makes two substrate preparation putties, Swedish Putty and Brushing Putty. Swedish putty is for use on walls or any kind of wall board. Brushing putty is for use on furniture, cabinets, doors, etc... Basically for any surface that has natural or man-made imperfections you would use Brushing putty to hide those imperfections prior to priming and painting. The preferred method of painting over Brushing Putty is spraying. This guy used Brushing putty on the walls instead of Swedish Putty. Swedish putty is far smoother and allows for the correct application when rolling and brush trailing. For anyone doing this kind of work in the future remember: Brushing putty = Doors, Furniture, Cabinets and the like...Swedish putty = All Walls/Wall Board.

This is the clearest video out there explaining how to use Fine Paints of Europe. I've been researching this topic but have had difficulty finding all of the info in one place, particularly in applying this super high gloss paint to a wall rather than to a door or a piece of furniture. Not only does the speaker explain the product, its application in a step by step linear explanation, but he also lists all of the best products to use with the paint, and explains why they are needed. This is super helpful. I wish there were the follow-up video as promised, but even so, this is the most thorough explanation I can find.

What was this video about? This is like when you contact the people from Fine Paints of Europe to ask if is there a training. Their answer is that you must have 5 years using their products, have expended $12,000.00 USD in their products then you qualify to attend to one of their "Workshops" in Vermont Virginia. After all the requirements you already have figured out how to work their products so you need them no more.

I just ordered water based ECO fine paint of Europe to learn how to spray it in a small cabinet . I always use renner 1321 and 643 primer water based would be ok if I spray eco on renner 643 water based primer? Or should I get FPOE primer? Thank you

Rants N' At he never did say what primer he put on before his steps of application ? Wondering what’s recommended any feedback ?
@sellsjeeps
@sellsjeeps 4 года назад
@@kennethheath2062 For any FPoE paint that's oil base it's recommended that you use FPoE Oil Undercoat tinted in the primary color before any top coat. Even if he did use the proper primer the brushing putty was used instead of the Swedish putty and at the wrong time. He was doomed as soon as he applied the brushing putty.

Great video, but just a note, the brushing putty must be primed or the high gloss sheen will fade over time....another option where no priming is required is instead of brushing putty, coat the surface with FPE Swedish Putty and sand the same way...

With this product why not just paint a gray undercoat. Do you really need 4 to 5 coats of red. With basic paints a coat of gray for the undercoat you will just need 2 coats of red.

The Red wall behind you in this video needs a lot more work. It’s full of overlaps from the base coats. I look forward to seeing the end result. You should watch the video and you will see what i am talking about.
