The Epson Website says the model ELPAP09 (the one used in the video) is "PC only." Get the Epson ELPAP10, it's compatible with Mac and Win. Or, you could run Windows on a Mac using Parallels software. When (Epson ELPAP09 is) used with Windows OS computer, it plays still and video images on the compatible Epson projectors (duplicates the display).

EpsonTV how this softwre can communicate with lcd without lan or wifi connection?

Thank you for your response but then it's not really a wireless connection if I have lan cable and power cable connected to the PC. I recommend to use microsoft wireless adapter it's much better and no need to install anything and it works find with Epson projectors

Epson America what’s the difference between easy MP and wireless network settings? How do you do the latter?

am not sure this answers what am looking for, I was talking of the USB drive used from the projector to the laptop to configure the network for streaming, how do I configure that?? Is it suppose to be nay USB drive or you have a specific I need to use.

The connector on your computer is called USB type-A (it's the flat looking USB connector). The Epson device looks like a flash drive with an LED light on the end. The Epson device name is "Quick Wireless Connection USB Key" model ELPAP09.

Same for me, just shows folders. I called support and the tech tried to get me to setup wireless through peer-to-peer or company network. I want the USB key to work! I tried to explain to him again and again that this is an EPSON USB quick wireless connection key that I want to work, and he kept circling back to the alternative wireless connections. He had no knowledge of how to support this key.

I have the same problem. Did anyone of you solve this?

***** in windows laptop case there are two ways to connect. one of them has both connections together so you can connect to USB module and have internet at the same time.

+Louis Grimm this is a rediculous price!! why not jsut support a wifi dongle or built in wifi and connect to an existing network or use as an standalone client. this is some crappy propriatry crap that is many years out of date. hell, there isnt even an ethernet port! :/

+Louis Grimm this is exactly my point. proprietary and requires you to use their dongle. why not make it compatible with others. you pay out enough for a system. better yet make it network enabled by default with built in wifi or network port. I feel like we have gone back in time unfortunately.

You could get your maintenance or electrician to install an USB extension cord that runs from the projector to the wall. You'll need a USB type-A extension cord. There are other brands of wireless receivers that stay connected to the projector (with a USB Key/transmitter to plug into a laptop) but you'll need someone with a ladder to install the wireless receiver into the projector. The other brands of wireless receiver & transmitter will work with any brand of projector that has a HDMI or VGA input connection.

I think it's ridiculous that you have to have WiFi to be able to use a projector with today's modern technology. Am I understanding this right you can't use a projector without wifi?

He's probably asking if you have to hook the USB up every time to the projector then the computer ? I have the same issue.. we have the projector on the ceiling at church . Do you have to do this every time when hooking up a computer?

The Epson ELPAP10 is compatible with Mac and Win. The Epson ELPAP09 is only for Windows.

I haven't yet set up mine.

It would be slow for gaming. You would better use a wired HDMI or VGA connection between the computer/laptop and the projector.

Came with my 1776W. I believe you could just use a regular USB drive, but haven't attempted.
