Here's how I set up and installed my external ink waste tank and removed the rollers on the XP15000 for DTF (direct to film) printing.

After that what’s the 2nd step, before starting the chipless software. Do I put the cartridge inks it came with before installing the dtf ones?

No you still need to buy or reset the Maintenance box

What refillable ink cartridges do you need for the printer? I looked on Amazon and they have chipless ones. Are they good to use?

Im using oem cartridges. If you use want to use the refillable cartridges, look for a ciss with dampers as well. The cartridges do not need chips, if you have installed the chipless firmware.

ET-8550 for sure. I had so many issues just getting the Xp-15000 setup and running

@@matthewgrider33 I broke a connector piece off one of the Ink tank reservoirs, I don't recommend the CISS for this printer. The original tanks are much better for ink preserving ink consumption

I haven't used the Xp-15000 in about 2 months. I've been using the Et-8550, its a much better printer than the Xp-15000.

You probably have a clog, you can put hot cleaning solution on a folded paper towel and let the printhead sit over it for like 20 mins.

You have not had a problem with this CIS system, I understand that it filters and ends up burning the printer

Not if the ciss has dampers, without them there's a possibility because the refillable cartridges tend to leak when running excess printer cleans.

@@HangryMuscle I understand. I see that you started the printer without the cartridges connected. Do you not get air inside the head? Because my understanding is that it starts pushing ink to which starts the printer.
