What a man! 20 years on top of the game in poker and in life. Patrick, congratulations. Props also to Vogelsang, finally started to run a bit better in highrollers. Of course, great coverage as usual and hilarious interview at the end...
This was a top comment, so we didnt have to go looking in the comments to see it, it just rolled up right under the video. Thanks for spoiling it. Im still going to watch but wish I didnt know
Towards the end the topic of randomizing decisions in poker was discussed. The hosts voiced and agreed that it would be detrimental to show your opponent you are in fact randomizing the given decision where both (or all, if not a heads up pot) of you are in a hand. Anyone care to explain in depth and/or provide an example as to why it's detrimental? What does it divulge of your range? Starts at roughly 5:54:40.
It means it's a marginal decision between two or more options. In some situations, it can help your opponents remove certain part of your range that plays pure strategies.
If you’re not protecting your randomizing range in live poker you’re a fish. I randomize in spots that are a pure check/bet/raise so my opponent thinks I had a hand that had a few different decisions.
'... Christoph defenitely a bit more randomizing...'. LOL, What about this flop push on QQ8, what about overbet with 4th pair? Great intuition grafton. Patrik destroyed another donkament fish.
CIA Guy is funny. Dressed like dork. IMO all final tables are supposed to have players in certain uniform or t-shirts, you name it. It will look nice , professional and appealing to general public watching.
