Equator Prize 2020 Community Statement 

We'd like to thank the UNDP and the Equator Initiative for awarding us with the 2020 Equator Prize #NatureforProsperity. The Equator Prize 2020 recognizes and celebrates the extraordinary initiatives and innovations created by 10 Indigenous peoples and local communities from 10 countries under the slogan “Nature for Life”. Our fellow Equator Prize winners 2020 address world leaders ahead of the UN Biodiversity Summit in a powerful community statement, highlighting the contributions and leadership of local and Indigenous actors to solving biodiversity and climate crises.
