For those who wonder, the speech at the end is from the final message of Stephen Hawking. "When we see the earth from space We see ourselves as a whole We see the unity and not the divisions It is such a simple image With accompanying message One planet, one human race"
@@LordVader1094 Race is not the same as culture. You can have the same race and a different culture and vice versa. Especially now that the movement of people is global.
In fact, that message from Hawking is very similar to the one from Carl Sagan in "pale blue dot" accompagning that photoghraphy of the same name (1994): "Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it, everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there--on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam. The Earth is a very small stage in a vast cosmic arena. Think of the rivers of blood spilled by all those generals and emperors so that, in glory and triumph, they could become the momentary masters of a fraction of a dot. Think of the endless cruelties visited by the inhabitants of one corner of this pixel on the scarcely distinguishable inhabitants of some other corner, how frequent their misunderstandings, how eager they are to kill one another, how fervent their hatreds. Our posturings, our imagined self-importance, the delusion that we have some privileged position in the Universe, are challenged by this point of pale light. Our planet is a lonely speck in the great enveloping cosmic dark. In our obscurity, in all this vastness, there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves. The Earth is the only world known so far to harbor life. There is nowhere else, at least in the near future, to which our species could migrate. Visit, yes. Settle, not yet. Like it or not, for the moment the Earth is where we make our stand. It has been said that astronomy is a humbling and character-building experience. There is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world. To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another, and to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we've ever known"
@egor belf hello egor having a great day? Ok its a didgeridoo I guess.. The comment was posted before the release of the song, so I hadn't heard it at that point. Context is a bitch.
**LYRICS** Don't hope for the plea of insanity Don't think I will ever forget I still see the beauty of humanity I still feel love and respect Instead of shouting out your own fears Choose the mask of a human face Try to feel the pain and all the tears And promise to leave this bloody trace One nation, one clan As the sun unites our hands Each colour, each tribe Where the eagle cries with pride We're all wanderers in this universe We're all connected beings Every tiny soul is precious Let's unite the world and heal it To all my fathers, mothers, daughters, and sons I will engrave these words into your hearts Cry it out loud at the top of your lungs Until we meet as shining stars One nation, one clan As the sun unites our hands Each colour, each tribe Where the eagle cries with pride When we see the earth from space We see ourselves as a whole We see the unity and not the divisions It is such a simple image With accompanying message One planet, one human race One nation, one clan As the sun unites our hands Each colour, each tribe Where the eagle cries with pride
Reading the comments it seems the consensus is that folks want these guys to return to their roots, but as someone unfamiliar with their work this song is pretty dope. Time for me to run down a rabbit hole!
As an old fan it's just a bit sad. I don't think this is bad metal, it's just not the Equilibrium sound I fell in love with. They had imo a very distinctive sound. I like these new singles more than their last album but to me it sounds kind of boring compared to what they've done in the past. Personally I wished bands stopped changing genres when "evolving", they can experiment sure but that changing genre is imo a bit drastic. I always use Tool as an example of a band that evolved in an extraordinary way but still stuck to their sound.
Heh... you know... I didn`t really know what to expect when they posted that they were releasing a new song. Personally, I try to approach the music that they make now as if it is a different band. I fell in love with the old music so hard and only a short time after, things changed. I wouldn`t say it got worse, but it was different. No it didn`t really hit home with me as much as the old stuff but by giving them fresh ears, I was able to appriciate the music more. Howere the Renegades album and some of the Armageddon album missed completely with me.. The first time i heard this song, I didn`t really like it. It was very different from what I expected. However the more I listen to it, the more I started liking it. It is a song that for me, is a step more the direction of what I like. Maybe there is still something good to expect from the future... Nicely done @Equilibrium Tube (official) . You did a really good job on this and I will await your new work with great anticipation. Best of luck in the future
Yeah, I also thought that was their reason for changing the logo, to reflect they're a new, different band, yet Sandra was back performing with them live in their last tour, maybe it was just for one date I'm not really sure, but yeah, didn't expect that, and I do am still wishing they're coming back to the real good old Equilibrium though
I don't really listen to metal anymore but I will say the first equilibrium album is definitely up there with my all time favorite albums ever. I've listened to their stuff since and it doesn't really compare. Like Mana, that song is a masterpiece.
I hope so, too. But the fact that the song is called in English is already a bad sign (in the context of the band). I feel that it will be the same as on the last album: for example, "A Lost Generation" quite itself contained elements of Japanese folk, but at the same time the song is difficult to consider folk metal, the influence of folk is too small there.
@@Tystros it could be a lot worse, but it could also be better. I think we're never going to hear "old" Equilibrium again. So I guess this is the comprimise.. The epic sound is all there though.
You will be pleased as it's certainly a step back into their original sound, sure there's still some modern industrial samples here and there as well as folk elements. But in terms of song structure, it's definitely classic Equilibrium.
IDK, it's very hard to talk to metalheads, most of them don't accept variety or change :v even tho my favorite genre is Metal and it's basically the only thing I hear, I can't consider myself a "metalhead" because they are too harsh, IDK, if I listen to Ex Deo and then Blackpink I won't get mad, I'll actually start dancing :v
To me it sounds like they are trying to meet in the middle regarding the old and the new sound. I would like more folk elements and less industrial modern noise but it's a step in the right direction.
Possibly the best track on Renegades so this is fine with me, honestly. I get they probably aren't gonna retread their original albums so I might as well enjoy the songs I still really like from them.
Now i am here from Skar productions and i am astonished the quality is insane! I love the vocals i love the instrumentals. I wasnt so impressed by a song in a long time.
Jesus christ how did I miss this?? This fucking slaps. There's real conviction behind those lyrics you can tell, and it couldn't come at a more important time.
@@fernandopenalva2680 for me it's something between last album and the old Equilibrium. No more nu-metal nonsense yet not the old epic Sagas-style Equilibrium.
enfin quelqu'un qui parle ma langue lol blague a part, en effet c'est une bonne chanson et le message est encore mieux! pourquoi se malmener entre nous ?
This one? I thought this is the only song from the new album released yet, if I'm correct how can you know this new album will be more enjoyable? or you mean asuming the rest of the album is similar to this song? because when I was listening to Renegades for the first time I was like hell yeah! going through the first three songs but after that I was like wtf? more and more as it progressed, it was all over the place, if you only listen to one song on Renegades, either one, one might imagine how the rest of the album could sound and would be surprised when listening to it finding out that was wrong, so now I still have no idea what to expect from this album, I do so wish and hope it's substantially better than Renegades
I for one liked Renegades album too. I find that it must not always be 100% about fan-pleasing. If a band feels the craving to try something a whole lot different, they should go for it! But that being said, the folk-epic Eq is still the best Eq!
Their 2016 album was epic and am excited to hear more. funny they release close to when ensiferum do theirs i always pair them together. Not a lot folk metal anymore ....
@@fernandopenalva2680 you are actually incorrect as they have had more time to develop over the years, their newest releases are the best actually....haha JK they have gone through like 3 singers lol and who know what else they are always changing and developing if u like the old stuff it is still there for you to listen to the same old stuff over and over again. they can never make a replica album of a previous piece but they may take more influence form their older stuff in future albums i do see this from time to time but their old stuff was more inspired but other influences so if they influence themselves with their old music that would be meta.
Better than anything on Renegades, the first time that I feel like you actually nailed that "slow, epic" sound (especially in the finale). It doesn't speak to me like your first two albums did, but it's also something I'll be listening to several times, which couldn't be said for most on "Waldschrein" or "Armageddon", and especially not "Renegades". I keep labouring some shades of hope that this band will, one day, reimagine itself into something that - even if it may be very different - resembles its greatness of old. These shades are a bit more pronounced now.
I hope they recover their origins, I have high expectations of hearing them resuming their style as in Sagas, or Turis Fratyr. I still await his return to Aztec lands.
i feel like theyre already getting there with the songwriting, my biggest critique for their newer stuff (last album and this song) is more the sound/arangement/mixing, which feels too crammed imo. just turn the synths down a notch clear up the high frequencies and get a less muddy low bass range, and the sound would be more cohesive, at least as far as my taste goes. But yeah, i have high hopes for the new stuff! \m/
@@mcbubblegun Agreed. they used to use Helion Studios but since Armageddon they have either tried it themselves or gone with smaller names. Helion did such a great job with Sagas through Erdentemple they really should go back to them.
@@blutaarvonwalhall8420 Respectfully disagree. What they lack to go back to the the real good old Equilibrium is only the intention and desire seems to me, judging Renegades and they changing their logo, which reflects their change in sound, their old sound was better so did the logo, for my liking anyway, but let's hear the rest of the new album when it releases and see
