"Full of pride we climb the iron tower, deep inside we're full of pagan power" You could understand it as a selfreflexion: They know they've changed drasticly and they are proud of it. But they haven't forgotton their pagan origin... it slumbers inside of their hearts and if we are lucky we might get another Pagan Metal Album by Equilibrium one day...

They may have drastically changed their sound but let's be honest ... this is a bomb ! Catchy, melodic and powerful. Personally i'm hooked ! Loved your folk era but i embrace the change since the music remains awesome

Just because there's no fiddle, violin and flutes doesn't mean the folk is gone. Musically and melodically this song is bursting with folk elements. Gonna add this one to my workout playlist!!

Come on people. There is absolutely nothing wrong with trying new styles. Every band does it at least once in its lifetime. Take a look at Megadeth for instance: They went Southern and even Hard Rock, but went back to Thrash later on. This song is GREAT

This song introduced me to Equilibrium and I loves it, I should listen to their previous songs.

I love old Equilibrium, sad it's not the same. But I love this song a lot. Makes me wish I had more metal head friends, or wish I could go to concerts again.

So the Folk Metal Equilibrium that I love is gone. This new style is good, the song is good...but I will miss the old sound that took me on adventures in the forest.

Such a radical change in their sound... Doesn't sound like the band I fell in love with as a teenager, but it certainly doesn't sound bad at all. It take serious balls to make big changes, and they got my respect for that, and of course my love for what they did in the past. Let's see how the rest of the album sounds.

Yo as someone who started listening to Equilibrium during the Sagas days, i really dig this. Sure it's got nothing to do with the sound from back then but that's not a bad thing at all imo.

this sound has IN FLAMES in times they produced a Reroute to remain LP, it was in times that IF start to play kinder metal, similar here, and about, Germany is now full of lost generation yes...

The uncompromisingly stubbornness of so many of this bands followers is a bit worrying. Are you really so afraid of change you would turn your backs? I for one applaud Equilibrium and as a real fan of their work support their decision to experiment on this record. Obviously I think they knew this bold direction would deter some of the more obstinate fans. I have loved Equilibrium since 2009 and will continue to be there with them.

Leute, ich muss sagen, das das einfach richtig fett Bock auf das komplette Album macht! Ich will das auch gar nicht mit Sagas vergleichen, das ist 11 jahre (!) her - in der Zeit sollte man sich weiterentwickelt haben und das ist euch unglaublich gut gelungen! Ich höre in diesem Lied Equilibrium, wie ich es noch nie gehört habe, und deshalb ist das Album auch gleich mal vorbestellt! :)

Honestly I'm digging the darker sound. I always loved Equilibrium, but their music always felt "happy" to me. Also, this still sounds like Folk Metal to me melodically, just not with folk instruments. That part starting at 1:08 is straight up folk metal.

Kinda rare to see a band changing their sound and their fans are just going with it. Love it!

Das ist GUT , equilibrium is one of my fav german bands.

Sagas ist für mich Equilibrium und ich vermisse diesen Stil, ich halte dieses Lied nichts desto trotz für das mit abstand beste Equilibrium Lied seit dem Sagas Album.

Besser als der restliche neue Kram. Seit langem mal wieder was man sich anhören kann :)

Keine Ahnung was hier rumgeheult wird, der Sound is mega und der Stil auch, jetzt setzt mal euren Robin Hood Hut ab ihr Paganinis.

Refrain reminds me of Amorphis, sounds pretty good overall.

Richtig geiler neuer Sound. Aber ich hoffe trotzdem noch ein paar klassischere Equilibrium-Lieder zu hören mit deutschem Text und Folk.

Was ist nur aus den Zeiten geworden in denen Equi Songs wie Dämmerung, Blut im Auge, Unbesiegt und Widars Hallen oder Mana rausgehauen hat. ( Bei Odins bart habe ich Mana geliebt und liebe es noch heute) Klar der Song ist gut aber in meinen Augen leider nicht mehr das Equilibrium was mir über Jahre Gänsehaut verpasst hat und mir in nicht so guten Zeiten immer wieder neuen mut gegeben hat weiter zu kämpfen. \m/

Das klingt wirklich nicht schlecht, ABER hört sich für mich mehr wie eine Mischung aus Soilwork und InFlames an. Ich kann es verstehen, dass man sich weiterentwickelt und nicht Altes aufwärmen will. Ich werde dennoch die alten Equilibriums vermissen.

Bin durch ihn auf euch aufmerksam geworden und obwohl sich Renegades mega von euren anderen Tracks unterscheidet Feier ich es, läuft bei mir rauf und runter :DD weiter so!!

This honestly sounds like Armageddon part 2. I dunno why some people think it sounds so different. But it's not bad, even though it doesnt compare to Sagas. Snuffel will always be my favorite.

It took me three years to realize how the first 10 seconds is basically the song of the bottomless pit from Miyazaki's Spirited Away. Not a bad thing, actually. It was just unexpected.

Ehrlich gesagt gefällt mir ihr neuer Style. Obwohl ich Folk Metal höre war Equilibrium zuvor nie wirklich mein ding. Aber so mega! Bitte mehr davon. :) Das Album wird gekauft. Zumindest ist das meine Meinung.

you know what.. this is actually a good song. the folk themes may have gone, the synthesizers sound a bit different, but in terms of songwriting/melodic style, this is still equilibrium

Not the biggest fan of the album, but it's far from terrible. I'll listen to this album every now and then (except for 1-2 song(s), maybe). Good on them for trying something new. Doesn't have to mean it's amazing, or that I won't miss the 'old' Equilibrium, but I wouldn't mind seeing them live in the future.

Honestly, this is good, even if a bit away from OG Equilibrium. I lost my voice on the chorus bc, of course, I haven't got Robse's vocal chords. But I could feel the (pagan ?) power rising whilst listening to this song. I love it, and I'm a PICKY metalhead !

Although I don't care for harsh vocals that much, in this song they work just fine. Liked this so much that now I must create a playlist for this band also.

Oh cool, wollte schon auf das Konzert heute Abend verzichten (wollte eigentlich nur Nailed to Obscurity sehen) da Equilibrium echt nicht meins sind aber die neuen Sachen hören sich ja doch ganz gut an (ja und das sagt einer der damals noch die erste Demo gekauft hat und die Sachen nach Turis Fratyr nur langweilig fand)
