Danny your mystery item is an old Eternit slate or asbestos shingle holder for a roof, yours is just flattened but the shaft out of the back would have been a hook. Nice jewelry finds!

That item that you thought might have been for an oil lamp is an old roofing nail, some people refer to them as as wheatie tacks, because they ring up the same as a wheat cent. Congrats on the jewelry and clad. If you are finding wheatie tacks, you are definitely in an area to find silver👊
