The equipment and methods required to properly (and improperly!) clean the table - with a nice little bonus tip at the end of the video which very few people ever consider ;-) The Snooker Gym Website: www.thesnooker...
I always use the iron at an angle As the point doesn't transfer heat to the rubber on the cushions, eventually making the rubber go hard. The ends I always do a sweeping motion from the long run towards the the Black corner,,At an angle as they create tram lines,,So last run from the GREEN or YELLOW SIDES,,At a 45 Degree to make sure cut along to TOO and BOTTOM Rail Run smoothly. Hence no difference in colour to the cloth when when being viewd from either end .. Looks the same colour.. Looks great,And plays Beautifully..
Hi Nic -- this is another excellent video! From your experience, how frequently should you iron a billiard table superfine cloth ... if you play on it for around 8 hours every day? The table fitters said about once a month. -- Thank you!
Hi Kendall - that is incredible dedication! I would brush and nap block every three hours. And iron possibly daily... where do you play and what is your goal in the game? Maybe message me here as I may not see your reply here! www.thesnookergym.com/contact-us
Hi Nic! I first picked up a cue 5 months ago and couldn't pot a ball, my highest break now is 65 and I am considering getting a table. I was wondering what the ideal room size would be for personal play, how much you would really want to be spending on a table and where the best place to buy would be? A lot of questions I know! Keep up the great content!
Great video! Is there any particular reason why it's important to brush the cushions along the nap too? It's something I would do anyway, it just feels unnatural to ever go against the nap, but I couldn't really think of a good reason why it's important to do so.
I would brush and nap block it after every usage. Iron after every 3-7 usages and see what works best. Iron not mandatory and I rarely use it on my coaching table though
@@TheSnookerGym So basically everyday. So sorta new to snooker, been watching for a few years now on RU-vid but I'm in the states and tables are few and far between in clubs so I found one and bought it. I just refurbished it, took a full year. It's only a 10x5 but that's really as big as one can get for a home table........well it's at my office actually. Anyway thanks for the advice.
