Equitation Study: Horse Rider Lumbar Loading. Mason & Greig (2020) Analysis by Caroline Lindsay 

In this presentation I analyse a scientific paper on an equitation topic as part of my doctoral studies focusing on rider posture, pain and performance. This paper confirms a method to evaluate the spinal loading of the flatwork dressage rider at the neck and lumbar in walk, rising trot, sitting trot and canter. There is an excellent discussion section covering equitation theory and rider biomechanics.
