What mailbox? I’ve been waiting three months for them to deliver mail to me. I have to go to the main sorting facility once a week to pick up my mail. There’s not just a financial deficit but also a lock deficit. Locks are on back order since November 2023, per the facility here in Stockton, Ca

“Junk mail” is only about 10% of what we deliver at most, and over half of that is advertisements from local businesses. That junk mail is crucial for the survival of those local businesses and thus the local economy.

@@LetsMars I would beg to differ. Most days the mail I receive never gets to my office. It ends in recycling bin. And as far as local business goes, my experience is that once you are on some mailing list you receive catalogs and flyers for national companies.

In my town they took away the regular delivery vans. Replaced with electric. Less than a week later post delivery were using their private vehicles to deliver. Where are the electrics? After about 2 weeks they have the delivery vans back that were replaced by electric. Time goes by and my carrier has a brand new van. I ask if electric? No it is gas but with a gutless engine. No electric. Maybe later, but not now. What happened to the electrics? He did not know and wanted to keep his job.

Electric vehicles....okay I guess, but what's wrong with our natural gas vehicles in service right now and slowly phase in electric vehicles where cost effective. And people who live in cities like for example Tucson ......they mail something to a business in town, but it's sent to Phoenix and then back to Tucson.....tell me now is that '"Cost effective "?

I run an ecommerce business over the last 15 years so I deal with usps every day. From what I see it has improved by leaps and bounds since DeJoyce took over under Trump. My mailing costs have actually decreased and the personnel at the PO are much nicer now than the people who used to work there. I love Rand but I don't concur on this issue

I hear a lot of complaints about the USPS. I ordered an item that generally takes 3 or 4 days that took two weeks. I complained and was called by my local postmaster who informed me where it was at but I was not happy with the delay.

USPS SHOULD BE PRIVATIZED! government dose not belong in buisness. The US Postal Service lost $6.5 billion in its just-completed fiscal year. Privatized institutions can do everything usps dose but cheeper and better. There are lots of encryption data companies that can transfer information over the internet safely so if usps is not sustainable then let privet take over. Your phone has more of our date then the post office ever could and we give it up freely all the time.

Where I came from working for USPS was prize employment. Relaxing work, don't need to know much, but great benefits. But as I look back hmmmm you know USPS can save a lot of money hiring part time workers, college kids on breaks etc.

The post office loses or delivers my mail to the wrong address way too often. Also they are also not equipped to deliver packages hate doing it. When someone use the post office to ships a package to me the box is usually destroyed when I get it. The people that work at my local post office are lazy and rude (probably Democrats🙂). Their tracking system is horrible!

Don’t know how other USPS work in other states. But in California, USPS can accumulate sick days and vacation days no cap! Our mail lady told us that when they got sick, they all went in to work to keep the sick days that can turn into as payments. She has accumulated 6 months of day off that she can cash out before she retires. This will never happen in private industry. Obviously, it’s poor managed and why in the world, we as tax payers are paying to save their poor managements?

You're spot on....the credit card companies aren't the only ones using foreign help to answer phones, most of the people who you talk to, cannot speak good english, making it really difficult to carry on a conversation. Why can't we keep it in the family so to speak? Roofers, carpenter's, brick and mortar workers ....the list goes on and on.

The US Postal service is one of the worse run organizations in government. We have been trying to get ahold of someone at the postal service by phone for over eight weeks because the humans at the actual post office say we must call the 800 number to get our problem resolved. The automated system sucks and send you to phones where you get more automation and eventually hung up on! Mail carriers and employees are no longer in uniform and the effin mail carriers can’t even close the mailbox door! This is one organization that should be privatized and all the dead wood should be let go!

You live in a rural area. Rural mail carriers do not wear a uniform. Most of us drive our own vehicles that we must maintain on our own dime. Want your mailbox lid closed? Put some WD-40 on the hinge so it’s not so hard to open and close that it gives us shoulder pains. While you’re at it, go ahead and put the damn numbers on your box so that the sub doesnt have to stop at every box just looking for your address.
