I love this. Thank you. Its not the story of someone becoming a billionaire, its not the story of some guy becoming a motivational speaker. Nobody is wearing trendy hats (😜) nobody is selling anything. This is a normal human sharing his beautiful journey. Its inspiring and it is filled with pearls of wisdom.
@@ButtersLStotch that wasn't included in the story and it isn't pertinent to the message he was conveying nor does it make any difference in regards to my original comment
I was with Josh on Kailash with Sadguru around 8 years ago, he followed the practices to a T, was very knowledgeable yet very very humble, and was one of the guys I hung out with a lot. Hes a what you see is what you get guy, im glad hes done this!
Spent time with Sadhguru for 14 years!! That’s what caught my attention. Thanks for sharing your experiences. It was very good listening to your podcast.
Great interview. Sadguru came into my life 6yrs ago. I have never been in his physical presence but he is my Guru. He is no joke. He is formidable. Quite the task master and he can really push you hard, harder than you want, if you want to go all the way. The spiritual path gets harder the further you go, but the alternative is too painful for me. I have tried everything before I met him and feel very blessed that we have someone like him alive today.
I had the same experience. Sadhguru appeared to me in the Internet 8 years ago and became my Guru.Never met him but he opened up certain dimensions within me ... really great and powerful experience.
Spiritual path is not just all Joy and Bliss. Being non judgemental about others. Joshua shared his experiences with clarity and wisdom.🙏🙏 Thank you Stevan and Joshua🙏❤️❤️
NAMASKARAM 🙏🏾 l went to India last year for 5 months and took IE, BSP and Soonya. I volunteered for 2 different groups of Samayama and Marzali sadana. Master of yoga and maha sivarathiri. No words to describe my experience. NAMASKARAM 🙏🏾
@@fudge6509 BSP BhavaSpandhana Program in which we drop many of our egos called I, we become more and more refind. Many of our karmas are shed off and we become calm, quiet and peaceful person. The experiences are inexplicable in words. Shunya (means zero) is an advanced initiation into deep meditation where you experience the nothingness temporarily. Samyama, the silence program is also such another transcendental meditation which only great masters like Sadhguru can initiate and take us to higher level. I am really grateful to God for having given me an opportunity to participate n learn something in my life. My humble pranams to Sadhguru ji
Absolutely amazing! "You cant forget your humanity when chasing divinity" Love it! Josh has been my inspiration and close friend over a decade, I'm so glad that his story is being told. His words have always had the power to help me through my tough journey. Cant wait for more!
Thank you Stefan for this wonderful podcast. Will definitely like to see and hear more from Joshua. You really asked the right questions, did not interrupt and let him finish his talk. Most of the time I see interviewers interrupting the guest when they're speaking and that just breaks the flow. Thank you🙏
This only made Sadhguru look even more formidable than I thought, because even being involved in all these problems and mistakes that could have been avoided he's still blissed out, and Im over here getting mad when not even involved, that is really really formidable.
Kailash experience pleeeeeease. This guy is direct, clear mind, very generous and great speech. We want every bit of his experiences to inspire us. Thanks Stefan for your support to the practitioners throught your videos. Namaskaram.
For those who made it to the last 2 minutes of the video, third eye practice will make things seem very serious which is primarily what Sadhguru teaches publicly. Sadhguru teaches third eye energizing practices in general which are very beneficial for us western people who are overly emotional. But the catch 22 with third eye energizing practices is that emotions will be de-energized which entails the “seriousness” that this video ended on & my comment began with. So energizing one’s own emotions as opposed to one’s third eye is the remedy to being overly serious & un-emotional. Emotions help one enjoy life, whereas the third eye helps one see extremely clear. Thus, our conscious discretion is required as to when we should employ one or the other as we see fit. Failing to consciously employ one or the other as we see fit not only disregards sadhguru but also disrespects ourselves
Been following Sadhguru for way over a decade, amazing human being… compassion, love & empathy … the more I delve into Yeshua (Jesus’s) message & mysticism I realized it’s all there , he was & is a perfect teacher & the peace my heart felt after learning about him & his life as truly a divine being it changed me bc compassion & empathy & love & unity we’re his true message… that’s enlightenment… wish there were churches that taught his true msg & teachings
Getting old doesn't take time. It just happens. "Too soon old too late smart" was a plaque in my grandmother 's garage. Now I'm her. Loved this podcast, thank you❤
Great video. Right in the city where Sadhguru lives there is another mystic less known living like a commoner with whom my quest for spiritual knowledge ended - the real deal. He liberated me. He has no ashrams no followers works for his living just like me and you lives with his family and nothing exceptional about him but the moment you shoot questions and the answers he gives you will be sure they are not read or borrowed from reading but coming from a much deeper place. You should get him on your channel and let the world meet and listen to him. He doesn't charge a penny and infact is a great host to some wonderful Indian food at his home, when you meet him😊
@@TwistedReality108 please drop in your common contact address and I will share his details there, for he likes to remain away from media. Please don't go by what I say. You can meet him, talk to him and make your own judgement 🙏☺️
Exactly, "how should this man find him? You were expecting him to know it telepathically. Neeeeein mate! we have not gotten there yet. Share his information!

You can’t get on the spiritual path, if you don’t have questions about this existence! I am so blessed that I have done the programs at Isha🙏 thank you Sadhguru🙏🙏
Bhakti Yoga came to me as a result of unrequited love, (obsession is not an understatement). Through spiritual work that over time eased the intense pain. Slowly but surely that obsessive love turns inward to the divine. Tears of joy of how much I love God… pure bliss.❤
Pain will come whether one is on the path or not. Totally agree that if the need to know is passionate and desperate enough we will eventually know. Impelled from within. Really appreciate this wonderful sharing of your experiences.
Thank you for making this happen, Stevan. 🎉 And thank you for sharing instead of enjoying silence, Joshua. 😄 So nice to hear you talking about your path in such a humble way. 😌 Sadhguru's practices can definitely create beautiful people and transform tasteless lives into magical ones. 🙏🌿🌸
I heard 20 minutes and I can already tell you how wise and genuine you are both of you. I've knowned Sadhguru from a long time on videos, very wise and practical spirituality, useful for everyday life. Thanks a lot boys!💜
Boy, amazing! Please, don't put music. It's not good for those who are trying to stabilize their moods and are obligated to trip with the music while trying to watch the interview. The story by itself it's already intense. There's no need to sync epic music with it.
What I really think after almost 20 years of being on a spiritual path is that each one of us is unique, each and every one of us is at a different level of acceptance of the human condition and we are all looking for happiness , beauty, ease and abundance in our life but it seems that as life is constructed and the human being is constructed, this is not possible whatever we do or try so we keep looking and looking and only a happy few reach true peace and happiness but we still grow old, get sick and eventually die so I guess the religious people have it easier because by accepting the human condition, they are just living their lifes in acceptance . The truth is that only a precious few will find themselves at the top spiritual level by being able to pass through concentrated doses of hard pain and this may be destiny too. If you can’t be enthusiastic about it , at least accept it and this is what Sadhguru is helping people do. I just wish that all of us will get enlightened and Earth turn to Paradise but at a gentle pace as otherwise life won’t be possible anymore. ❤️🌈🌍🌈❤️
I say that sincere souls with sincere hearts will not have any problems entering the heavenly realms. It is good to relax in that knowledge, especially older folk. A lot is being achieved through prayer around the world.
I feel similar to you, it seems like it shouldn't be so hard to have "enlightenment, or peace on earth....I have done lots of self growth work, I have learned from many Sadhguru's talks the importance of working with my mind and emotions, and using practices to keep calm, to learn how to not "RE Act" to the energy others throw at you. But it seems like hard work. I choose to believe that our souls DO live on, that we are eternal beings and that gives me hope and peace, otherwise I would be so sad to think of all my loved ones who have passed on being gone. I wish like you that Earth could be paradise.
Sh*t happens for a reason: to wake you up, to push you in the right direction, to make you stronger so you can grow and get closer to The One. Will you get there in this life? I don't know, eventualy everyone will... But the idea is to make the best of the journey ! Joy above perfection !
Devotion its about you and you become so sweet!!! Gratitude is so powerful practice it...every single cell of your body will vibrate!!! Thank you Josh for coming out and sharing! I stay away from the ashram because of the seriousness of people! With my stability within and seeing so serious people doesn't jive!
Intense. Have not been doing my practices since some time. The time he mentioned yantra and again he mentioned the chant..I am literally crying out loud. Thankyou for this podcast. Time for me to restart my sadhana.
Potential follow up questions: 1. Why is being in silence worth while? Do you have any sense why it can be so potent? 2. Go into more details about Anadhi 3. How did Anadhi transform him? Was there any clear and obvious change other than the change of practice? 4. Why does he have an issue with people having to pay for programs? Thank you for the podcast 🙂
This was crazy beautiful, thank you guys, i have been following sadhguru and found you some time ago, i dont really have anyone around me that has much interest in "this", i am very thankfull to you because i am able to relate to my own experiences and emotions better, trough listening your talks , , Dankeschön
Yes, I had same sensation, and most of us that have been in Sadhguru's presence will notice this things. I suppose part of our Guru will always be with us, he intended things to be like that.
I had a very similar experience with LSD. After about 3-4 years of doing it , I felt it talk to me in the last few trips telling me ‘ My work with you in done and now you need to move to finding a different way to connect with your spirituality ‘ . That’s when I also had a major car accident end of 2008 . Woke up after 2 weeks of being in a coma, and my path shifted drastically after and meditation became my way of finding my answers. Thanks for sharing your story 🙏
Yes . Thanks It was one of the best things that happened to me . Was planned before incarnating in this lifetime to put me on the path that is my true life’s mission 🕉️✨
When I listen to Sadhguru I feel like I’m a child listening to my grandfather telling me about the world. Listening to him is so soothing, it can put me to sleep no matter how hard I fight to hang on every word 💜 his voice and his words are truly soothing to me. 💜💜💜 I’ve never felt like that about a person I will never meet but only know of. He makes everything make sense, and reignites my sense of wonder after the novelty of this world was lost to me a long time ago.
This video really resonated with me… it was right on time and i am deeply grateful for it - gave me a viewpoint, perspective to so many question “spinning around my head” since starting to listen to and follow (… only “dabbling” for fear of getting lost) Sadhguru for the past 6 years …
This was beautiful! Joshua is super insightful and so good with words ( probably all that silence helped consolidate thoughts?) I'm never able to figure out where to even start, while talking about my spiritual experiences. 😅 This podcast definitely needs a part 2, especially after you mentioned Mystics Musings, Sacred Walks, initiation at Kailash and the recent Bali program. So much more there! Stevan, thank you for this collaboration, and for your candidness as always! 🙏🏽🙏🏽💙
I really liked the part where Joshua and Stevan discuss that..when we are committed to the family and also committed to the sadhana..We need to manage both.❤
This story and practice indicated a path towards self realisation, in that he is able to see things as observer as they were in his life rather than be swept away by the tides of life, like responsibilities or security. Being responsive without the baggage is a step towards growth. A clear differentiation between what's happening in the world and what you are is a primary step that everyone is supposed to take.
Thankx for this , really in awe to this talk ❤❤ loved from my heart really cant describe my feelings ryt now, felt like i was with you all the time...and thankx for the part 2 as well...making this world.a better place for everyone...such glow on both of your faces talking about lyf, its lovely ... anybody reading this, take ur tym guys, its lyf, it happens ...❤❤
His sence of calmness and balance is seen on his face, in his eyes 🙏🏼🙌🏼 Loved this conversation.. Would love more like these.. 🙏🏼😊 This guy speaks with clarity and doesn't exaggerates things, he doesn't judge people.. Would love to hear about the Mystic Musings program, about the Kailash Yatra from him 🙏🏼😄
Thank you for sharing this. What a beautiful pick of guest. I took IE and have loved guru since I attended an Upa Yoga class for first time on international day of yoga in 2018. I really never followed up with the Upa and Hatha but rather just always wanted to stay in the blissful state of devotion. His words helped me understand a little why I have had some disturbing experiences and would get afraid and seem to lose my “ right” mind. It gave me to courage to continue Bhakti but I need to practice Hatha I feel or at least Upa to stay grounded maybe. I wish I knew other devotees in NJ where I live. It would be great if you could have this guest on another time. Thanks again!💛🙏🏼💛
Have you taken Inner Engineering? There is a decent sized isha community in NJ. I am in Virginia but have several isha meditator friends in NJ and visit often, once you are initiated in shambhavi you can even attend the local satsangs and volunteer for local programs.
Fantastic talk! One of the top three I have ever seen on RU-vid. Please bring on more of these!!! So very helpful. I love hearing about Sadhguru's Teachings, Kailash, and everything else!
What a compliment~ thank you Lori! That truly means a lot, here is part 2, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4sy7q_bMw5E.html&lc=Ugx0uqfm1Dm6IcDwbcV4AaABAg
Thanks for that video, really thank you. My dream for years is to do these things you did, the hatha teacher training and all the possibilitys at Isha Im always there with my heart. This video tought me that it is good to take my time before going there to stabilize my body and mind not asking for trouble to early. Im so longing to go there but now I know Im in the right place preparing for that.
I really connect to the truth around leaning into real abundance and not being dependent on external circumstances rather embodying the divinity that is.
Thank you for sharing! You tapped into several interesting subjects and levels, where I still am at. I'm 75 and have been seeking since I was a child. I hope to never stop learning and now laughing! I have learned everything! 😂 Now, I am pleasant. That is enough. 🙏 I appreciate your story. ♥️
This was so enriching and so light hearted. With all that intense stuff being discussed not even once I wanted to leave the podcast. The last bit with being serious or having a structure has helped me understand my own way of doing sadhana. Thankyou Stephan for your unique encounters. It is benefitting many.
You are very welcome! Thanks for sharing your valuable feedback 🙏🏼 Here is part 2 of the podcast> ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4sy7q_bMw5E.html&lc=UgynLytAKRCRDOc5bXZ4AaABAg
This is one of the most amazing podcasts I've heard in a while. As a Sadhanapada, I've been through the journey of being straight like a stick to being loose yet maintaining practices and it resonated so much with me. I really really hope that there is a 2nd part to this conversation about Mystic's Musings and Sacred Walks story. It's a privilege to hear about him from someone so close to him!
@TwistedReality108 Question for you - Are smaller dream yantras accessible to full time volunteers or HYTs? I heard he was going to open it up for people, but I'm not sure if he did.
I think this interview has a huge breakthrough on my spiritual growth, because i realized importance of ability to concentrate. Those three types of groups, on which you were separated leaded me to a point of understaning what i did wrong. Obviously i loosened my good quality just to be average person, not too extraordinary, but when you threw all kinds of comparison ideas out of mind there is a chance to upgrowth.
This was a fantastic podcast, there isnt much videos of people that went through with ISHA programs and that hold Sadhguru close to them talk about their personal thoughts. This made me feel that I am not alone and others also have questioned the same things I have. So please make more videos sharing your experience with Kailash, Sadhguru etc.
My experience was the same I was fed up and the day of, Sadhguru popped up on a commercial after what I thought was my last chakra affirmation… and he spoke me as he said everything you think, feel and do is you and nobody else. Then I was hooked, did shambavi and I wouldn’t change the way I feel for anything 💖 thank you my Guru ✨
This is great! I spent ALMOST this whole life feeling lost, not understanding the family I was born into, the religious practices they chose! Three and a half years ago, I found my guru, or better, he found me! I did shambhavi online, and soon after I ran to the Himalayas to do the Kailash/Manasarovar sacred walk. Last year I went to the ashram in Coimbatore to do In Grace of Yoga and experienced Mahashivratri, after I did Shoonya and after BSP. I still have questions about life, because I am constantly aware of what’s going on around me, but what I noticed is that the answers always come sooner or later! ❤❤❤
There is no pain in Spirit Spirit is perfect design, Health Wealth and Great abundance. The Mahatma Mantra is the cure of not having pain , however few will reach this in their medtations, however it has to be a walking medtation. Constant activity of Light conscious. Pain is caused from rebelling against the perfection of Spirit in body. Must create a Mantra to Ground Light into the body. There is no pain in Light Body
Wow bro I felt very strong synergy with the statement he made about what "Ayuaschua" had said to him during his experience. Love listening to these conversations where these similarities connect each others struggles and success.
He took 3 births to be a being. We have our karma. We have to dissolve it. 80 years down the line he is going to be more stronger. Our beings have to just reflect.
Your guest's honesty shows he is a devotee but he has no idea. He is so eloquent and sincere. I was very grateful for this podcast and for going into part 2. Thank you to both of you
- His experience and the significance of Sadhguru touching forehead with his thumb during kailash and mystic in Bali…. - his crazy experiences in Sacred walks - his present life and how is he involved with isha - his take on different Hatha Yoga practices from Surya Shakti to Angamardana to yogasanas and bhuta shuddhi!
When one reaches the realization that we are Divine eternal souls living a human experience but know of our eternal nature, meaning nothing can kill you. Then what is to fear? No one or thing can manifest fear.
Indeed......Self Knowledge is different from Self Realisation.....Self Knowledge is the UNDERSTANDING of Reality intellectually. Realisation indicates that you KNOW Reality. (We don't believe that we have two hands, WE KNOW.)
Thanks for this…was beautiful.Had my first Ayahuasca experience 2 weeks ago and found this at the perfect time.Have become a bit disillusioned with Sadhguru and his seemingly increasing rock star status…am finding more in in Paramahansa Yogananda’s teachings these days…just me and my path I suppose…thanks for this…Will definitely give Sadhguru another go…blessings…🙏
@@carlosdeoliveira5592 Yogananda helped me alot at certain points in time! Especially embracing my heart, opening up to my emotions. But since he is not alive anymore, the tools and techniques given by him/his foundation are nit that alive/energized anymore either. That's why for me it made sense to focus on one type of tools instead of diverting my energies in to many directions., 🙏😊 every has their own path
If you are on the path of samadi, the gross material will never be "enough." The ego death is a violent process. I've been in this process for years, and I know I haven't scratched the surface of my karma. Seeking bliss is is just another craving. Seeking Self is enlightenment. This is not a path for everyone. It has been very lonely at times. Lonliness is the ego fighting to keep control. One place I can say, this process has transformed my relationships, even with strangers. "The ego makes a wonderful servant, but a lousy master." - Ram Dass
Thank you. This spoke volumes to me. It's very relatable for me. I walk with a different guru, but the milestones on the path are the same. The outer circumstances look different, depending on your karma, but on a true path everyone will eventually hit the same milestones.
Would anybody care to explain what is “BSP”? what is “samhima”? I am in an ongoing journey with Sadhguru through the latest incarnation of Inner Engineering and had been practicing Shambhavi Mahamudra Kriya for more than 220 days now and in my 2nd Shambhavi Mahamudra Kriya Mandala at the moment. I am interested in what I can look forward to in this journey with Sadhguru.
BSP is Bhava Spandana Program, an advanced program designed by Sadhguru. Samyama is an advanced meditative program designed by Sadhguru. The next step after Inner Engineering would be BSP along with Hatha Yoga, then Shoonya Program and the last program would be Samyama. More information can be find on Sadhguru'S Website ❤ I Hope that helped!

This was so helpful to me. I had been so frustrated with myself and pace of "progress ". This brought awareness and now I see it as part of the process.
Why the swelling background music? I would like to focus on and listen purely to the conversation. I'm a musician, and my ears keep focusing on the music.
The background music for interviews is becoming more common these days. It's indicative of a time when people seem to need constant stimulation. It is annoying and I immediately turn off any interview with background music.
