Hello prim friends! My name is Gabriella Moir and welcome to our channel The Cape on the Corner at Tweedthistle Farms, where we love to explore antique shops and homes that are filled with history in early American antiques and primitives that also go well in farmhouse decor and decorating. We share the building process too as we build our forever home, a Cape Cod style home on our 5+ acres in Ohio where we also have a specialty cut flower farm. Follow along as we share daily life of starting seeds and planting seedlings for the cutting garden, establish new landscaping near our home to try to give it that early look and feel. In the growing season we'll be starting a kitchen herb garden and so much more. Keep watching!

So glad you are on the road to recovery, rest & heal. Our granddaughter just went through misery from a ruptured appendix. Our bodies tell us a lot! Can hardly wait to see future flowers!!!! Antiques & flowers are the bomb!!!

I love gardening and antiques both ,so I will watch both channels. But I do agree with you hubby, If it was me I would start another channel. I think that a lot of people would just scroll on by. Just my opinion.

Sweet friend, listen to your doc's orders. My husband went through something similar a couple of years ago. Came home to recoup and because of the type of abdominal surgery it caused his intestines to become paralyzed and I had to rush him back. He was at the point of becoming septic. I say this to listen to your body. As to your channel I love gardens and antiques so having them together is great. I'm looking forward to the progress you make. For now don't overdo it...rest.

Oh, Gabriella! So sorry to hear of your medical ordeal! Hopefully the healing goes well, and I have put you in my prayers! In the meantime, you can enjoy those beautiful flowers as they grow and bloom. (Look, don’t touch!). Here’s the good news … you never have to worry about having apendicitis again! My brother and sister have both had their appendix removed, so now I live in fear of when it might be my turn! Kidding, of course, but it does cross my mind now and then. Much love to you!

Oh my goodness, so glad your on the mend now. Hope you will show all the flowers again when they bloom so we can see how beautiful it will be. Does lavender spread, I have thought about it but don't want to always have to dig out just to contain. Thanks for sharing

Lavender doesn't spread, just becomes a larger clump, when we're lucky. They don't like particularly wet roots. I had a beautiful large one in a raised bed in our last home. They love good drainage.

I watched a video where you were going through this really cute house full of primitives. You said the lady was moving. Love your channel and look forward to the videos, Prim things and gardening. I have a gardening question. We planted several Limelight Hydrangeas and they have bloomed well the past two years. The plants are about 5 feet tall and no blooms yet this year, but our blue and pink hydrangeas are huge and blooming profusely. Usually the limelight bloom first, it has been a little cooler here in Arkansas than usual.

That's interesting that the limelights bloomed early in past years. My understanding is that they always bloom late summer into fall. I think they're right on track this year. Good idea to give them a feeding with rose-tone around each limelight now to set them up for good blooms.
