I'm glad that you've also recognized the key aspects of the building as a genuine innovation and the episodic story that will be developed. We haven't started promoting the game yet, but we will do so within specific limits, and in that case, you will be the first to receive updates. Regarding the switch to Unity, the decision was made in a very early stage. Unity is the engine that allows us to develop this type of product optimally, so it had unanimous agreement from all of us. That engine switch is so sad 😭 I mean, this will take a lot of hard work.. I've seen games took 1-2 years to port from UE4 to UE5, but from UE to Unity.. this is insane

I like these games where the most important thing on the map for you is also a powerful unit that can move, and you have to use it to win because of how powerful it is, but it's risky. Supreme commander does it perfectly with it's commander units and I hope this game will be similar with the use of the base as a combatant if you want to do that.

Can I build things _Vertically_ successfully? My favorite ships in EVE online are always the vertical ones... Naglfar, Tornado, Myrmidon, Svipul... I don't know why people don't like it as much. I think it's phenomenal. We think in X/Y axis too much, a vertical ship makes you think in X/Y/Z
@perafilozof Sins of a Solar Empire with the Sins of the Prophets mod. I love anything Halo. I plan on recreating Halo universe ships when this comes of age. Can't wait for it!!!!
@perafilozof I must warn you, though. My ability to transfer the ideas in my head to reality is a little...... let's say......... below average. BUT! I will give it my best effort........ and don't have high expectations lol. (Just use your imagination so that it doesn't look like an abomination)
Wow! It looks amazing, i really love the design. What i dont like is the ability to build your own stuff. It makea games for more complicated and unable to.balance. starfiels has it and you can build hollow ships unable to be damaged/targeted. Relly looking forward to play it and rip ojt all features haha. Kewp us informed ❤
Well if you can import your designs and just build them, than yes. But in any event most people play SP anyway, and that is where this feature will shine.
EVE is a miracle of community love. If there weren't people who play it like a job or a treat their ships and characters like family members it would have died out a long time ago.
I’m glad indie devs and double AA are making new RTS games but I’m sad that a lot of people still think RTS games are dead because one guy named @AitsZ made a video of why RTS games are dead but I disagreed with him. I tried to convinced him but he didn’t answered.
That is why I made my video to show they are NOT dead last year and it now has almost 500k views. And I will make another one soon showcasing almost a 100 RTS games.

Build your super carrier take it across the galaxy and lead your squadrons against enemy targets, if you add land combat then this will end up being my new drug. Overall though im definitely getting it, its currently on my wishlist.

The HW2 complex mod is fun, so I'm very hopeful for this game. With HW3 getting delayed until next year, the kickstarter backers must be pretty happy to have an early demo of Era One to enjoy.
Very true! And I do agree this might fill that void if it turns out as good as it looks and developers promise. Does the complex mod work in HW Remastered?

Era One dev here, unfortunately no, it really did come from clear sky. Nobody on our team received any notice. We got an email the same day with a link to the official post@@perafilozof. Also as you mentioned, the decision was made way earlier in development
Thx for clearing that up JamesInvi . That is how I got it too, you switched a while back because of the reasons explained in the Kickstarter post. I hope you have plenty of sales and don't get impacted by any of the bad decision from the Unity (ex EA) CEO.

How it's good, that developers change the engine to unity. UE is a piece of a code with lots of lags and statters, and it's completely unsuitable for strategies games.
@@perafilozof I've saying that always. I hate that engine, because I always have problems in games at UE. It's just eating resoucrss of computer in unlimited amounts for nothing. And because of that strategies, that have increased performance requirements, must not be created at UE.
I can totally understand your point, and I have seen it be made many times before. So as I said it will be interesting to see what you will think of this next game I will be showcasing a development update on.
Dust Fleet does the same sort of, infact these games are this close to being unplayable cuz nobody cares about the why, its all unplayable just like DW2. All this stuff and I am not spending 45 minutes to place an engine f that blahhjhjjj. Time to put the genre out in the pasture for a long ass time. Cmon who has time for this to see a shield level 3 😮 are u mad? Probably not lol but seriously this game bleahhhhh , another lets count the hairs in my navel space game, steam is littered with such well not trash but u get my drift. Interesting comment. A lot to unpack here. So: 1) You think space RTS games have no future or Space games in general? 2) DW2 as in Distant Worlds 2? 3) Why do you think it will take you so long to add modules in this game? 4) I do agree to few of these games have big playerbases and that is both a shame and due to developers not understanding their audience well 5) on the other hand you have people living second lives in EVE for decades now...
