The reason why I love this ship is that Joke is the only one to actually give Eraser that kind of affection. It’s also possible that she sees some kind of fun, good side of him too, considering not many people look at him in that way. Sure, Present Mic does but it’s platonic. Even though Joke seems very annoying and desperate, I still think she’d give him all the love and affection she has. Her confidence is my favorite part about her tbh. So I’m hoping MAYBE she’ll come back in the series one day. I just want them to marry already jeez
If anything she is quite literally, great comedic relief. And because Eraser is a kill joy, it makes some of the jokes all the funnier when he is just outright dodging instead of giving straight answers. His comebacks are really good to be fair, and it sort of plays into her style. I’m also willing to say she could act as a sort of yin to his yang, she’s the positive one, he’s the negative one. And while his negativity is just a sort of meh, not evil, I think she could balance him out a bit and just let him have some fun or even TAKE GENUINE INTEREST IN STUFF OUTSIDE OF COMBAT. Help him grow ya know, maybe remove that stick that is stuck betwixt his butt cheeks. Then again I kinda like him as is.

It's most likely a one sided love or it could just be a purely platonic relationship. Also,they didn't spend "the entire day together",they just sat there for the sole reason of watching their students. If you pay attention after Deku vs Shinso fight, when Shinso walks back from the arena, Ms. Joke is one of the heroes praising his quirk and chiding UA for having Shinso in general class. Pretty neat if you ask me, them introducing her now and her call back to the sports festival.
A dark theory going around is that Ms. Joke actually trades off negative feelings for positive feelings. Basically; when she fights a villain, that villain is full of negative emotions, correct? Well, she activates her quirk to make them laugh, and they trade negativity and positivity. The user(Ms. Joke) is overwhelmed with depression and anger, while the person they're using it on is overwhelmed with happiness. That's why she laughs each time Aizawa rejects her(she has actual feelings for him, but she plays it off as a joke to make it seem less heartbreaking on the outside each time he rejects her), because she's used to using her quirk on herself out of reflex due to negative emotions.
