Good review, we've had loads of Makita and Dewalt tools over the years but in the last 18 months we've started buying a few Erbaur cordless tools because we're landscapers and our tools end up getting wet and covered in shite so whatever we're buying gets a real hard life. I was at one time an avid makita man but I just don't think their gear is as good as it once was. The Erbaur stuff is definitely more cost effective for our type of work and it's certainly up to the job. Keep up the good work fellas. 👍

AFAIK, Erbauer, MacAllister,Triton, Titan, Aldi's Workzone/Ferrox and Lidl's Parkside are all made by the same company - Positec. I bought the Workzone plunge saw for £80 and it works sweet. For other tools I have Hitachi or Makita but didn't see the cost benefit for a tool I'm not going to use as much. Also Hitachi (now Hi-Koki) have really put their prices up.

@@michaelcoles6140 I have used this saw for chipboard, OSB and 18mm ply. I bought it to make some wardrobes and it did the job. I would class it as a good DIY tool rather than for trade but that is reflected in the price. The depth adjustment knob feels flimsy but works. The motor is powerful and cuts without any issues. The track is fine and it cuts straight with the aid of the track clamps. Would I buy it again? Yes. I hope this helps.

@@henrymurphy5284 hi thanks for the reply, I went and bought one it seems the depth is wrong on mine by 8mm and the saw cuts out as it goes through 18mm chip so It seems as if I got a dodge one 🤦‍♂️ only wanted a cheap one so I could buy some more Milwaukee tools but wished I got the makita 4ov now.

Bit of a half-hearted review just because it's cheap.. I suggest you look at the instructions and study the machine a bit more, than just a quick glance at it. You didn't really tell us anything apart from you don't like the anti kick back and cuts 67mm deep. That is 67mm is off the tracks. Really bad review because it's cheap. Look at the Bosch saw how rubbish was that. Talking about erbauer poor build quality things flapping around at least it seated on the tracks properly. For the money it's a good machine. Think you should review this again.

I was hoping for a more in depth and informative review too... Is the depth gauge calibrated for on-track use? And is it accurate? Are the trueing cams effective at consistently aligning it on the track? Is the blade in-line with the 90 and 45⁰ marks on the front edge of the plate? Is the track compatible with track squares such as Benchdog's?

Erbauer tools are now also being sold by B&Q. My biggest gripe about Erbauer is that you cannot buy spare parts and once the tool is out of warranty there is no option of a repair facility. It is essentially a throw away tool once it breaks! One reason I didn't buy their bench top thicknesser, they don't even sell spare blades!

Erbauer saws I've had potentially lethally dangerous. Frightening. Described over phone in middle of night and, to be fair, they said to return immediately. Screwfix returns policy is a reason I use them. Other Erbauer tools I've tried just feel clumsy. Totally agree with need to practice with such gear

Using these track being that they are 700mm and a door is 762mm. When the saw is fully engaged on yhe track the blade doesn't cut the rear edge of the door. You can only go in one direction. If I use both tracks to 1400mm the ends for the clamps are in thin air, or at least one is. Any professional ideas?

I'm a DIYer and couldn't justify the cost of a Festool or Makita for the amount I'll use it so bought the Erbauer and 2x1400 Evolution tracks. The anti-kickback came off before the first cut, way too much drag - a good idea poorly executed. Slow start really is slow, you have to wait for the saw to be up to speed. Great value - you get the saw, tracks, track bag, joiners and clamps. Downsides: It's heavy and being Erbauer there'll be no spares so if it breaks it's a bin job but it does have a 2 year warranty and most importantly, the quality of the cut is excellent - easily as good as the Makita SP6000 I borrowed before buying this.

It makes it hard to move back on the rail. Once you know what you are doing the saw should not kick back
@jonathanlusby4213

I took it off mine because it was causing excess friction moving the saw forwards - enough to move the rails if not clamped. Pity because I agree that it should be a good safety feature.

Thanks for the review Guys, I was looking at a track saw to trim 11 oak doors to fit existing frames, The erbauer saw works great straight out of the box, i added another track section to allow trimming the width, It leaves a nice clean finish , not found the anti kick back an issue as one pass does the job , For dust extraction , i cut the neck off the bag adapter and pushed it into the saw outlet, my henry hoover hose now fits snugly into the saw and leaves hardly any dust, the bag or no hoover leaves a lot of sawdust, I have a trend blade ready to fit still in the wrapper, wasn’t expecting the supplied blade to do such a good job,
