Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has assumed the authority to declare a mobilization and a state of war. The move comes amid Turkey's tensions with Israel over Gaza war. The new regulation was signed and published on May 22 days after Recep Tayyip Erdogan warned that Israel may attack Turkey. The authority to declare a mobilization previously belonged to the Cabinet, while the decision to declare war was made by the parliament. Watch this to know more.

He's using them for his own interests. Trying to empower himself domestically. If he really stood with the palestinians, he wouldn't have restored diplomatic ties, he wouldn't supply them with oil and he wouldn't have trade deals with them (the israelis).
