We can't say a word?!! Really! Clearly they are undermining everyone's intelligence! Who holds the contract with Brodie? Who stipulated the conditions of the contract? Certainly not Brodie!!! Brodie would have a contract that does not allow him to make any derogatory statements in public which would cast the team in a negative light or nor would he be able to speak about the team without their consent....... he definitely would not have the same contract on them! They CAN say more, but if they are guilty or caused this situation, then they would not want to implicate themselves any further as they have already received a lot of public flack since Brodie's non appearance came to light. Just look down pitlane, especially DJR which has underperformed since Scott left...... Shell did not leave them! Why would major corporates risk their reputations by suddenly withdrawing from a team following their champion driver's demise? Clearly they know something we don't, and it points towards the team that they deserted, not Brodie! Believe me, the truth will eventually come out. I back Brodie on this one! Claiming not to be a bully is somewhat hard to believe, following some of last year's very aggressive public outbursts! Possibly being the cause of losing major sponsors and attracting an unanticipated backlash from the public would definitely be really hard to deal with. I love Betty, especially after following her life story and I'm impressed by her tenacity in not just being a successful businesswoman but also beating the Supercars boys teams as a woman. On the other hand, regardless of what any of us think about Barry, Erebus set the benchmark and was the team to beat in 2023. This happened under Barry's leadership. Thanks to him they won both driver and Team championships. For once, Redbull the dominant force for many years as well as the Holden homologation team, had no answers for Erebus. So I do not wish to bash anyone any further when they are alread down. I am a diehard SVG fan, but since the Covid online Supercars racing, I hoped to see Brodie race behind the wheel of a proper race car and with a descent team, so if I were to accept anyone beating SVG, then I was happy that Brodie won. While it has not been said in so many words, this nonsense of creating the impression that Brodie is suffering some sort of wellbeing issue, emphasized by Supercars is a bit far fetched! It is just passing the blame for this impasse! Unlike SVG, in 2023 Brodie appeared well composed at all times, so where in last year did he ever crack at any time, even when his own team mate outperformed him and he briefly fell back in performance? And nothing SVG did, ever ruffled his feathers! So how do you as a newly crowned champion become unwell off season when there is no pressure? It is a bit hard to fathom! We know the mess involving SVG that occurred when this very Erebus team was formed, then later with Reynolds parting ways with his sponsor. There appears to be a huge HR problem within this team. To save face, I would strongly recommend that Erebus just accept that the marriage is over, release Brodie from his contract unconditionally, shake hands on it to save face, so we can see him do what he does best...... we all are fully aware by now that things will never return to normal between Erebus and Brodie, so they need to do the right thing, take it on the cheek, and difuse the situation. Let's save what is still possible....... giving Brodie and Erebus the opportunity to move on........ after all Erebus is the defending champions with a new driver lineup with heaps of potential and Brodie as reigning champion should easily be able to accrue a drive elsewhere full time to give the other Supercars drivers the opportunity to challenge his title or allow him to go to NASCAR fulltime where he and SVG can continue their rivalry. Unfortunately, once trust has been broken, it is very hard to rebuild relations and any future minor issues will impact on it negatively. Obviously the Erebus contract prevents Brodie from going anywhere else and Erebus just needs to let go of their pride and release him.......

I’m a fan of Betty and her crew. So they’re underdogs again… will be interesting how this team regroups and performs.
