Very sad to hear what happened to your shed from Alan, I guess you have constructed something new by now! If you can bare to, could you make a video about how and where it failed, for others who are contemplating such a build. Thanks!
That is BEEFY! 2x4s Bent into an Arch?! Yeah thats a great build! Nice work! Also- this shape does well against Tornados from what I gather.. No lips, no way for the wind to grab an edge. Love the Kittys🥰
Thank you . I have received many positive comments on this build and highly recommend it for boat builders or growing veggies, or both. It has held up very well to our Canadian winters. I would recommend getting a coloured tarp vice plastic if using for anything but growing. Under a sunny summer sky it gets damn hot in there.
Ah young grasshopper...many small boats are built upside down initially then flipped when the planking is finished. But, not my build. New videos out soon
Thanks Carl. Fewer warts than expected. I have had to tape some small holes in the plastic due to chaffing. I did not secure the plastic tight enough. I will likely either replace the plastic this fall or add a second layer of plastic. Using used plastic means replacing it more often than if I used new plastic but at about 1/10th the price it is worth the effort.
Easier to run 2by 6 sills along the sides for the arches to sit in to,then screw top of arches into the ridge on one side and raise in one go and hold up with props until you put the arches on the other side, mind you your's is twice the size of mine looks great
I just recently discovered arch cabins. I can tell by how drawn in I am that I'll be making one sooner than later. Thanks for the inspiration good sir!
