I think he missed one of the biggest differences that makes the biggest impact. On the V1, the arms are attached to the base and don't move back when you lean back. On the V2, the arms are attached to the back, so when you lean back, the arms go back too. This is a HUGE difference, as I found the V1 very awkward when you wanted to lean back, but the arms stayed where they were.
Gas gone in mine around the 2 year mark. Mesh starting to sag and putting uncomfortable pressure on the back of my legs, even to the point of causing pain. Wouldn't recommend these chairs, unless you opt to perhaps go with leather instead of the mesh but then the cost goes up through the roof and other chairs become more appealing. Also not pleasant to deal with, for warranty claims at all. They will claim it is all wear and tear, so the 10 year warranty does not do much.
Quality of the sound is bad at the point of being impolite. Please use at least "Noise removal", which is available in a completely free `audacity` audio editor :-). Regarding the chair - on my way to test it in a store, - looks great!
I have the V2, work on it all day everyday for about 3 years so far and it's still perfect. I find it more comfortable than the Herman Miller Aeron which I could never get used to. The only downside to the Ergohuman is that it's ugly af.
Hey Bill, not sure if you'll ever see this post but after 3 years of owning the Elite V2, do you hear any thump or squeaks when rocking? I've had mine for a few days and the thump and chair squeak when rocking is annoying. I fear mine is defective.
Nice chair if only the back of the seat were taller. I am about 6'5" and 180 lbs. I need a chair that is taller so that when I lean back, my head has the top part of the chair to lean against. That's a big problem with your executive chairs -the back of the chair is too short.. (Oh, most chairs in other stores have the same problem.)
That lombar support is too low. I need it to be a little higher but it can't go higher. This is a big issue. Btw, I have V1 but I can't see V2 is higher.
I purchased V2 and it still have got just 1 paddle. Not 3 independent paddles as I expected with preset positions for recline. Very disappointed, because the preset positions for recline are the most important.
August 22, 2018 ... Greetings to all, I want to express and give my opinion of my experience with this ergonomic chair very complete in mesh your back and seat, independent that it is not a cheap product but it is worth your purchase, because I have it already now 6 years from Germany that came to me on ONLINE purchase and I bought it because I had to undergo spinal surgery and fused several lumbar vertebrae with total success and at that time I was wondering which would be the best desk chair and I chose this one after an analysis of the best world chairs; today after these years using it every day is phenomenal, I finish each task without exhaustion and no problem in the positions that as you can see is multipositional and versatile; I am delighted and I plan to buy another one for my daughter at her desk soon, I have not had to replace parts either, it is very durable, although I would like to replace the right arm support my daughter was very small and she gave her a bite as it is soft rubber, she gave it interest, hahaha, I hope to find a right arm support in these times and so it looks cute as always ... Thank you all.
Thank you for sharing. So after all you are satisfied with Ergohuman v2 ? I went through spinal surgery aswell and I chose this chair. I hope I made a good choice..
Shame for such high-end chair the Ergohuman V2 DOES NOT have tilt seat adjustment to support the back of the knee that a $200 chair excels in that feature.
