They tried to make, "My dad was right. I am a dumbass." into a joke, but as a man with a "Red Foreman" father, it hurts to come to the realization that they were right.
It's a show. It's no universal rule or absolute truth. Maybe things happened in a way that made it seems like him or you were dumbasses and guys like Red Foreman just knows enough of life and knows the right way to do things but I really believe that there's no such thing. Hope you're doing what you love and earning money from it.
I forget which part of Africa he went to. But from my experience, visiting a part of the world that is consumed by blood and poverty really opens your eyes.
@@ZeloraYT Yeah, I kinda knew that was going to happen, but I wanted to still give the new series the benefit of the doubt on the off chance that it could be a good follow up series. Unfortunately, not every legacy sequel can be Cobra Kai, as I thought that Eric got the worst of it as you kinda got the sense that he matured greatly during his time in Africa and that maybe after his experience as a teacher there, that that he would want to perhaps provide teaching to underprivileged children. Instead of being a Star Wars professor at a university as even in the original series, I found his Star Wars obsession to be kinda annoying. I also didn’t like how everyone was still treating him like a butt monkey for everything that he apparently isn’t. Especially Red, as while I didn’t expect their relationship to be 100% cohesion, you kinda got the sense that they finally gained mutual respect with one another when Eric left for Africa. Instead, Red still treats Eric the same way that he did in the original series despite his success with his career, being in shape finally, and having a family of his own. If That 90’s Show gets a second season, I won’t be around for it as I’m sure that fanfics did a better job of making a follow up continuation to That 70’s Show then this new series could have ever hoped to have accomplished.
also, their daughter turns 15 in the summer, of 1995, this takes place 1970-1980 this means Donna was pregnant a few months already during this scene , or Leia was born, roughly 3 months early
@@astreanightfang2622 The timeline is just messed up but it is Canon that Donna and Eric have only gone all the way with each other. The theory that Leia is for Randy is not true. Biologically speaking, green eyed and blue eyed people have 0% chance of having a brown eyed child. So Leia is for Eric. The writers made a lot of time line errors throughout the show.
@@astreanightfang2622 Also Jay Kelso would have been born in 79 the same year as Betsy but..that would have meant Jackie gave birth before she got with Fez and we all saw that didn't happen either. (And Mila said herself that Jay IS Jackie's child.)
The scenes featuring Ashton and Topher were filmed without the studio audience present, but I sure would’ve liked to hear the applause upon their return. Without it, it feels so casual as if they never left
Creepy little fact....... Most shows today are not filmed with a live audience. The laugh tracks from the audiences actually being heard are decades old meaning that most of the people you hear laughing are dead now
Agreed but it would have broken the dramatic build up don’t you think? The audience would have broken the tension - and not in a good way. But it still would have been fun to hear..
But really we all know he leaves and changed his name to Eddie also getting a hair dye moving up to New York to become a journalist and meets Peter Parker his rival and finally makes a breakthrough in his career but then Parker ruins that and now Eddie gets venom to help exact his revenge
I do kind of wish he and Ashton would have just did that last final season. It would have made it so much better the writers didn't have much to work with because they left for bigger and better things..
@@Buugzy we split due to various things going on. His mom got sick and he had to move back in to take care of her. Unfortunately his mom and I have never gotten along because she's been one of those types who thinks I'm taking him away from her. I just decided to bow out. I'm not going to complicate things when he's taking care of his mother. I would have gladly helped but I just don't want to make his life any harder with any tension between her and I. We still talk pretty much every day and we still hang out. I can tell he still has feelings for me and honestly I feel the same way. Sometimes I miss our life together but it is what it is and we both have to move on.
@@babyhandgrenade4004 well when That 90s Show comes out, it’s going to prove you two deserve to stay together if there’s still feelings. You really wanna end up with a Randy?
finished this show a few weeks ago on peacock first time i actually saw the whole thing lol in the 8th season i already knew both eric and kelso were coming back at the end of the season and to be honest i still enjoyed the 8th season but boy i wanted to get to the ending so fast to see them both back 😂 it just wasn't the same without them especially eric
The eight season was not good as the others, Eric was only in one episode , On the seven season He took the decision go to Africa because he wanted Donna be proud and he deserve her but the most important was both love each other, she didn't travel to college that day and he was thinking about her everyday.
Bruh I forgot about this moment I had waited the whole time since he left for this to happen when I was a kid. To this day I don't date shits to complicated
I think that maybe Donna shouldn't have renewed her romance with Eric. I feel that he has taken her love for granted. He broke up with her once when she would not wear his promise ring, he ran away on what was supposed to be their wedding day, and he broke up with her again during his time in Africa. He did not seem to appreciate her as much as she did him.
jaret19 are you serious Eric cared more about her than she did he was always there for even when she dated kelso brother or when her mom left excluding the wedding he never wronged her if anything she wronged him
danny fonseca Donna dated Kelso's older brother because Eric insisted that she move on, not out of spite. Donna even later came to support Eric's decision to teach in Africa with the belief that their love would stay strong. Eric later broke up with her again. If you ask me, I think that Eric wronged Donna more. Donna never stopped loving him despite his letdowns, which include ditching their wedding.
jaret19 lets see the promise ring was all Donna fault she tried to used as a sloppy second she cheated on him twice she never wanted him in her future for a big part of time she brought randy to his house and room multiple times
danny fonseca It did not mean that she did not love him when she did not take the promise ring. She felt that he was moving too fast in their relationship. With whom did Donna cheat on him?
This was Eric letting go in his coma and passing away the memories of him and Donna together he was coming to grips with reality that his loved ones will be okay without him and will remember him.
