I remember when KISS came to Australia in 1980. I was a very, very young KISS fan. My next door neighbor went. They were the biggest thing around. No band came close. Eric was immediately accepted by the Australian fans. They were originally booked to tour Australia in 1978, but unfortunately it didn't happen.

I head the 1980 tour was almost like the Beatles in Australia. I heard KISS was tentatively scheduled to play Australia in 1989 or 1990, but there were problems with the promoters.

I think it was the same as Beatlemania. It was coined " Kissteria". They were meant to tour Australia in 1978, but it fell through. Then again in 1989...fell through again.

It’s sad Eric never came back to Australia, KISS was meant to return to Australia around 89 for some rock festival but it got cancelled, also heard in one of the podcast interviews with Eric’s girlfriend Carrie that he spoke to her about returning to Australia but it never happened.

You're right about the 1989 tour. Something happened with the promoters. If I remember correctly, Joe Cocker was also supposed to be at the festival. That is a really strange combination of artists. BTW, are you SpaceFoxy? If so, I love what your'e doing

I really like the fact of showing the date of the KISS (Crazy Nights (?)) tour in NJ. It was at the Meadowlands Arena and I was there. If it wasn't for the actual date shown, I wouldn't have remembered what I was doing that night. That's one reason I loved the non-makeup era. I didn't have any commitments apart from starting my computer career, and still living at home.

I was at Donington ‘88. It was an incredible day, but one sadly overshadowed by the tragic events during G&R’s set.

@@ericcarrrevealed I think one of the problems that day was the sheer number of people that were allowed entry. The festival was in its 8th year, & in that time had never filled to anywhere near capacity. That, as I understand it, had lead to a policy of allowing anyone who turned up without a ticket to just pay on the day. However, on that day people turned up in unprecedented numbers. That, combined with the wet weather and natural incline of the site, lead to some treacherous conditions near the front. That said, I was near the front for much of the day, but I didn’t find out about what had happened until I arrived home to very worried parents the following morning.

Just a bit of constructive criticism, your content is great but it gets extremely repetitive & annoying to hear the “Eric! Eric!” chant in every single video when the clip is only 2 minutes long.

Thanks for the feedback. Glad you like the content. About the intro, I do need something that isn't copyrighted while the visual intro is up. It's about 10 seconds, giving people time to read it. I tried using part of his drum solo in one of the videos, but it didn't seem to fit. I'm interested in any suggestions you have to improve the content or the intro. What would you like to hear for the first 10 seconds?

@@ericcarrrevealed Ah, that makes you gotta do it to satisfy copyright bots. I would maybe have 2 or 3 different 10 second clips you can rotate for intros and outros. It's not so much that they're there, it gets annoying cause it's the same thing every time.
