Honestly eric is just one of the most soothing people to listen to. I find his music so damn genuine & heartfelt. Also - the entire Mr Misunderstood album was basically sent down from heaven from God himself in my opinion. He can do no wrong.

This song came out around when my brother passed away and I played it all the time on the jukebox of my local bar. The lyrics just hit me,and every day that goes by I miss him that much more.

My wife ask me if there was one song to let GOD know how you were felling about your my time on earth. I said this is the song I would play!

I think he's one of the most sincere artists left in Nashville, and he's trying to ride the line between traditional country and a sort of southern Bruce Springsteen. These videos, with the kid and the continuing storyline, are really cool and creative. But I'm mostly just here to give my kudos to Eric for his Opry performance immediately after the Vegas shootings. That earned him my respect permanently.

I moved out here during this song from New Mexico and I was so home sick for my friends and everything else. This song my me happy and tearful. Thank you Eric Church and your entire band!!

A few years ago this song kind of gave me hope. She's obviously gone now, but this song still gives me the nostalgic feeling of that relationship.. Even if it was at its end. It's hard to explain but my advice is to appreciate every GOOD relationship you've ever been in.

He was only 17 when he was killed instantly in a terrible accident that was a tragedy that 2001 class will never forget. He was the passenger and his best friend was the driver. There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think of him and his family. We all loved him and he kept us all laughing. Gone way way to soon. Only the good die young. That is so very true. This song is so relatable, and Eric Church is awesome. When I was a kid I used to travel during the summers to work with my mom. I couldn't wait to see Daniel when I came home. His aunt and mine were best friends, and I'd tag along doing sewing patterns all kinds of boring stuff just to see Daniel, who lived next door to his Aunt Shelley. He'd find a reasons to go over there, too, even though we were too shy to speak to each other. We started dating in high school and I always thought we'd end up together, but he died of cancer at 25. It sometimes feels as if I'm still waiting to go home to him.

Makes me sad...came out 4 or 5 years after I graduated high school..only difference is I left my small town and my gf stayed. Only been back to see her once...that was 11 years ago.

Eric Church (The Chief) is a walking jukebox, with 6-7 decades of genres imprinted on his soul. Which can be heard exactly who done the song. I bet he can hear every word in his head. without missing a note or a beat...and I net he can hear every word in the voice that he originally heard it. I amaze people with my ear for music, my memory of exact lyrics and instrumentation, but of all, my inability to forget the lyrics no matter what kind of music, well maybe that's not true for a few genres, but a 100% not everyone. As I learn the Eric Church back catalogue, backwards it seems, some songs I should have known about for a long time suddenly appear out of nowhere. I heard this for the first time a few days ago and fell in love with it straightaway. All his songs are just so good, you know when you hear his name you won`t be disappointed. This is what I love about Eric`s music, he writes so many different styles of song, but they always have a message in them that I can relate to, whether it be songs like this or Drowning Man to Drink in My Hand or Two Pink Lines.
