Eric is like..."Oh yeah when I was 21 and I was in Cream we used to play "Crossroads" real fast like I was Buddy Guy with a manic rhythym section. Now I am 80, I just rock it out like a Big Blues Band number with the back-up singers" 🥰😀
Is it just me or does Eric become more active when hes playing the blues. More swaying back and forth, leans back more and leans his head back more. Comes alive.
Damn slowhand is 70😢....I did miss the raw distortions and speed of Cream but common that was 50 yrs back...Thanks Eric for the gift of your music...U r and will always be GOD...sorry Jimmi😊
Chris Stainton ... and, yes, he ROCKS ... absolutely! Watch him here playing solo at the same venue on "Eric Clapton[70] 16. Cocaine" ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0kie9hvmCIE.html
I wouldn’t consider myself a huge fan of Fleetwood Mac although after thinking about it… I realized I know most of the lyrics to so many of their hits… Incredibly talented musicians. So, Yeah… I guess I’m a lover of great music
"Crossroads" by Cream the quintessential song(We call something quintessential if it's absolutely necessary), due to my old age i have rethought the matter and now my old bones find, " Further On Up The Road " though maybe not the "Crossroads" Cream empowered with Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker but a very good vehicle E.Clapton drives so well
Not exactly. Crossroads Cream at Fillmore Wheels of Fire is Heaven and has remained welded to the top of my Top 10, 50 or 100 ever since it was released. The fierce pace on that track of Eric, Ginger and Jack has never been matched - nor it very sadly seems never will be - even by the Master EC himself. I know that Eric has evolved since and we all slow dow eventually but I have seen EC perform on some excellent You Tubes and in the flesh and I stiil dream of that driving, fierce and unsurpassable Fillmore track being repeated. One or two covers came close, but then that was not EC ( nor Ginger, nor Jack RIP both).
Robert Jonson song. Robert gave us 29 songs. Number 30 never wrote. Blind Dog Fulton (Willie Brown from the song ) Crossroads movie by Walter Hill 1986
For all who said that the director was an idiot. I really do not agree because the whole band was responsible for this great concert and he made a stage for all members of this band So I think that he made a bit to many cuts, that`s for sure but I also think that it`s pretty nice that every musician got his or her parts in this film
El director de cámaras y el editor están bien para filmar Foo Fighters, pero a Clapton le faltaron el respeto. Muy lindo el relos de Eric, por cierto, y la pandereta de las chicas.
